I wonder if these are bugs that are being found with Antropic's 'Mythos'
I'm more and more convinced every day that many Macrumors users are (at least emotionally) 12 years old.Apple also released iOS 18.7.8 for older iPhones that are not updated to iOS 26.
Not today, Liquid Ass!
18.7.8 is not being offered on my wife’s iPhone 14 and M1 iPad Air, even with iOS/iPadOS 18 public betas turned on. If I turned the 18 betas off, only 26.4.2 is available.Step 1: Turn off iOS 18 public beta.
Step 2: Update from 18.7.7 to 18.7.8.
Step 3: Turn back ON iOS 18 public beta and confirms no iOS 26 available. 🤣
Meanwhile, 26.4.2 sounds like the last one before ads in the maps... 🙁
All devices it seemsCan anyone confirm iOS 18.7.8 is only available to iPhones that don't support iOS 26? Or it available to all iPhones on iOS 18 or older?
NICE! Thanks for the heads up. Updating to 18.7.8 now...I assume it is another WebKit exploit, since they also released 18.7.8.
Just curious which car brand you have. My mom has been having issues with her Lincoln (owned by Ford). But it may not be relevant. Can anyone confirm if it fixes the wireless CarPlay bug on 26.4.1? Ever since updating to .1 I’ve had constant issues connecting
Impact: Notifications marked for deletion could be unexpectedly retained on the device
Same here its driving me nuts! Can anyone confirm if it fixes the wireless CarPlay bug on 26.4.1? Ever since updating to .1 I’ve had constant issues connecting
Dammit, I didn’t think I’d have to update all my iDevices so soon again. But it’s good to see they continue to provision iOS 26-capable models.I assume it is another WebKit exploit, since they also released 18.7.8.

It’s available on newer iPhones and iPads as well. To see the update you have to turn off beta updates if you had that turned on.Can anyone confirm iOS 18.7.8 is only available to iPhones that don't support iOS 26? Or it available to all iPhones on iOS 18 or older?
Currently installing 18.7.8 on an iPhone 12.Can anyone confirm iOS 18.7.8 is only available to iPhones that don't support iOS 26? Or it available to all iPhones on iOS 18 or older?
It does remind me of when I was in grade school. Thankfully, there are a few adults here.I'm more and more convinced every day that many Macrumors users are (at least emotionally) 12 years old.

Sounds like a solid plan. iOS 18 is still rockingHonestly at this point I think I'm planning to just skip iOS 26 altogether, and see what they announce at WWDC soon before I do anything with the latest updates. 🤷♂️
Available on iPhone 13 mini, iPad mini 5, iPad Pro 2018 and iPad Pro M4 here.18.7.8 is not being offered on my wife’s iPhone and M1 iPad Air, even with iOS/iPadOS 18 public betas turned on. If I turned the 18 betas off, only 26.4.2 is available.
Yes, this seems to be the case.I wonder if that’s related to this: FBI Extracts Suspect’s Deleted Signal Messages Saved in iPhone Notification Database
My iPhone 17 PM has done this since day 1 (first shipment batch UK after launch).I’ll have to test this. I’ve also been having problems connecting to my wireless CarPlay since the .1 update. Sometimes it just won’t connect and a reboot of my phone seems to fix it.
Nice driving pun for CarPlay lol.Same here its driving me nuts!
