No, they’re not getting the update at all. That’s unacceptable! Are you telling me the vast majority of people with older iPhones running iOS 26 don’t get any bug fixes in this update? That’s ridiculous!
Another petty chapter of my life comes to a close.Glad I could play a part in the prophecy by even using the word "vindicated."
Software update sizes have been broken since the second or third 26.0 beta for me. Huge update sizes that download way too quickly on my internet speeds to be the real sizesFor quite a while, the reported size of updates appears to be calculated by a random number generator.
It sure gives confidence that things are well tested at Apple ...
And then I thought mine was big 😄Must be a heckuva update...my update from 26.5 to 26.5.1 is 27 GB!!!View attachment 2634254
But yet, the problem didn't affect MagSafe charging. Must be a software issue accessing the USB Type C port.I experienced the charging bug a couple of times and always thought my cable or charger were faulty.
Yes, even on iOS 18.7.8 there are some apps that want to be updated over and over again. You'll have to wait some time and this issue fixes itself. This is not the first time this happens - you know, "it simply works™"... 🤣After updating is anyone else seeing the App Store show the same app needing an update multiple times?
SameI'd like to know how that is calculated...I started the update and about 30 seconds later it said "preparing..." and where I am I'm pretty sure I did t download 27 GB over cellular that fast even if it's 5G.
