Apple Releases iOS 4.3.1

The reason the iPad's file size is so large (593MB) is because it has to install a camera on the top of the iPad, and if you go into the Settings> General> Bezel, you can now change it from Black to White (or vise versa) whenever you want.

This is an awesome update, hurry, download it.

Same here! It's an "Apple" product with a "666"MB OS...anyone else thinking that's strangely close to a story with a snake in a garden? Haha. Kinda interesting.
 
for the person who asked gestures on the iPad are still available you just need to go into xcode again and re-enable iPad for development
 
I'm getting the full mashing, all 666MB. Hopefully it will stay connected to o2 better as there are some parts of the UK that don't seem to exist, as far as my iPhone thinks. :)
 
Now I'm two updates behind on my iPhone, because I'm still waiting for the 4.3 Jailbreak. Oh well. Nothing too important in this update. I also won't be updating my iPad, because the jailbreak for 4.3 hasn't been released yet either.

Thats no true.

Apple just a few days ago released Mac OS X 10.6.7 and was only 475MB, and the Combo update was only 1.12GB. Mac OS X 10.6.6 brought the Mac App Store and was only 143MB.

I don't know why your updates are 4GB.

Anyone planning to jailbreak their iPad 2, I advise to stay on 4.3. There were rumors that the software exploit used to jailbreak iPad 2 is patched in 4.3.1.

I may upgrade my iPhone, though, since I don't plan on jailbreaking it.

Thanks for clearing that up. I had the Dremel in hand and was about ready to drill the hole for the camera - glad it's going to install it on top! That way I can revert to the previous version, right? Also, if I jailbreak my cheeseburger, will it get wifi like the fries, or is that just a myth?
 
I'm hoping the FaceTime bugs are addressed. On the iPhone 4 and iPad 2, I get the cached image or black screen instead of live camera. A restart fixes it in case you experience it.
