Exactly - when I got my iphone 4 I couldn't believe how smooth/fluid it all was. I just wasn't used to it having only used windoze products where stuttering and lag is quite common.

Up to version 4.2.1 the iphone 4 was very smooth, with 4.3.x some of that feel has been lost.

Same thing happened on iPad going from os 3 to os 4.

The smooth feel was lost forever.

Can you open a third party app (like a game or news app) that isn't already running in the background and let us know if the launch animation runs or whether it still just "pops" on screen like in 4.3 and 4.3.1 ...

I've tried several third party apps; they sort of zoom in onto the screen. Is that what you were looking for?

Multitasking Gestures

For anyone with multitasking gestures enabled, is it me or has the animation for when you use four fingers to swipe left or right to switch between apps changed?

When you activate the app switch, the page drops back and the different apps are separated, then zooms back out on release? i thought the last one was a continuous image with no separation?

Please ignore me if it was the same!

Battery life?

Probably never.

The most likely scenario would be reunification between the UTMS/GSM and CDMA software in iOS 4.4 or definitely iOS 5.

It appears that Apple forked the 4.2 code for the CDMA iPhone and there's no clean way to reincorporate those changes into the 4.3 branch.
Battery life in 4.3.x sucks. Verizon users should be glad to be on 4.2.x!

Oh great. I'm going to have to tie up my Internet connection for a long period of time to update my 4G iPod touch and iPad 2 for the 4.3.2 update.

I REALLY hope that Apple does incremental updates of iOS starting with iOS 5.0 to save us from tying up the broadband connection for such a long period of time.

Wow. If a little 700MB download ties up your internet, I think you need a new internet.

iPod touch 4 Bluetooth PAN Tethering

Has anyone tried tethering their ipod touch 4 after this update, to a regular cellphone with internet, using bluetooth PAN, to see if you can still use the phone as an internet connection for your ipod?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/8H7)

4.3.2 feels smoother to me. Take that with as many grains of sand as you like.

how unfortunate

Apple today released iOS 4.3.2, bringing several minor fixes and improvements to Apple's operating system for mobile devices. The build number is 8H7 for the majority of devices, with the CDMA iPad 2 receiving Build 8H8. A separate iOS 4.2.7 build 8E303 is also available for the CDMA iPhone 4.BGR noted one week ago that iOS 4.3.2 was expected to debut within two weeks and reported earlier this week that the update would fix the issue with CDMA iPad 2 connectivity and FaceTime glitches.

Two versions of the iPhone and two current versions of iOS. Wait, is this iOS becoming fragmented? ;-)

4 hours to download for the ATT iPad version? The ATT iPhone4 version only took 6 minutes on the same computer. I guess I'll wait until tomorrow.

iPhone 3G users left in the cold...

Are people firing up their lawyers because Apple does not update their iPhone 3G that came with iOS 3 when they bought it in june 2010 ? Doesn't the licence flyer in the box say Apple will supply the current iOS version +1 ?

Disclaimer: I don't use an iPhone 3G, but I have plenty of friends who do.

It's a shame that Apple isn't at least back-porting security fixes for 3G users. No new features, just security fixes. (although that new version of WebKit would probably give them a nice speed-boost, too!)

There are still plenty of iPhone 3G users under warranty. Maybe if they start getting hacked (by simply navigating to a "wrong" website), and Apple has to replace their phones, something might change... Meh, who am I kidding? They would still simply weigh the number of phones they'd need to replace against the number of sales they might lose by providing updates, and go with whatever makes them the most money, just like Ford execs figured it would be cheaper to pay out victims of the Pinto's tendency to go up in flames from minor accidents, rather than pay for a redesign.

I hated to see support dropped for iPhone 3G, because that means my (and my wife's) 3GS is next on the chopping block. Now, it's just a matter of waiting for the axe to drop...

The previous animation is the same: drop back, separation between views, zoom back.

I am REALLY amazed what people complain about at times
Chas2010 is right, get new internet then

Well, ATT iP4 here, I can confirm 3rd party apps pop open then animate when opening after that.

All Apple core apps open with animation on the first shot.

Animations seem better than .1 and .2, but not totally smooth.

Just updated…Now having a problem with people hearing me. If i use speaker phone they can hear me just fine. I have done a voice memo, and it sounds like I'm being recorded at half volume. Anyone else having this problem
