For anyone wondering, I just installed iOS6 GM on a device not registered to my dev account, it works fine.

EDIT - In reading it again, one list shows 3GS and one does not. Hmmmmm....

that doesnt really mean anything, iPhone 3G supported iOS4 but u could throw it against the wall

I've heard something that they have removed the requirement to have a registred UDID, but I'm not sure. Maybe it was too much hassle.

Yes, the Dev Center. If you wait a few hours, and search around on Twitter you should have no problem finding one.
