I must saY the are fairlY quick to fix the jailbreak this time. :)

Man I hate when there is an inside joke and I don't get it. It makes me feel really old. What are you doing with the 'Y's. and don't say it was an accident, cause we know it wasn't.

This will most likely be the last release we see for iOS 7 before iOS 8 releases.

You are most likely, probably right in this educated estimation of the current status of the software releases.

Although the article only mentions iPhone s5, its also iPad too

We shouldn't just "assume" that if one comes out, its also available for the other..

Then again, that what Apple users seem to do. :)

well, i did have a error "unable to update"

And this is AFTER is had downloaded... Persists payed off though :)

Apple should really do something about these generic error messages. Personally, i think it's just laziness.

I have Yosemite DP2, can't tYpe the lowercase Y without pressing shift in Safari. Also,
I'm Batman.

After updating and resetting my iphone 5, my App Store now simply says all apps are up to date. My list of previous updates is gone. I still have prior purchases. Is this normal? Never happened before on any previous update

Any improvements in update time or any word if the freezing on the second load screen is gone yet? I just got the red badge but don't want my iPhone 5 or iPad mini to get stuck.

Mine was stuck for about that long, as well. I held in the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously to force a reboot. After rebooting, my settings shows 7.1.2 (11D257) as the operating system. Guess the update worked...

Happened to me the sane

All okay. iPhone 5, iPad 4, iPad Air: 5 min. iPhone 4: 20 min for the 7.1.2 update (like it was with 7.1.1).

Dark Mode
Adblocker

I can't use my iphone/ipad without a jailbreak

no need.... lol

Worth it for adblocker alone ;)

This is one of the biggest reasons I jailbreak. I have a few apps that force you to view an ad upon opening the app and with adblocker, it gets rid of that.

No need for a jailbreak. There is an app in the App Store called Weblock. Works like a charm in WiFis. I have it on all devices since some months and it's AAA. Works system-wide (apps, browsers, YouTube…). You can add white lists and black lists (you'll have to add Apples iAd manually that's the only thing to do). Look for it in iTunes. Legit and proven since over one year.

am i the only one who is getting constant respring when i use apps such as telegram or hangouts

...I think the update bricked my phone.

It has been 15 minutes and the progress indicator hasn't moved a bit.

Mine has been going for an hour, the download took 10min, once the phone restarted it has been 45 min and no movement. Grrr I need to go run. 32MB UPDATE should not take this long to install, so much for that lightning fast processor Apple put in these 5s phones.....

Edit: I forced a restart on the phone and I am at 7.1.2. Restarted and came right up.
