Agreed, I would've preferred a darker or at least a more colorful UI, but for night viewing you can switch to the Invert Colors option.

Apple Releases iOS 8.4 With Apple Music, Beats 1, and Revamped Music App

this whole "coming soon" for iTunes just makes me have the feeling its not ready yet and will be released at a later date which is not today.
Setup up family sharing through iCloud then select the family apple music subscription.
Also, the whole uploading your music is only for the benefit of being able to listen to songs you have that are not on Apple Music from anywhere? They don't upload what you have that is already available on Apple Music, right?
Apple music/ios 8.4 appears to have erased or removed access to all local music on my iPhone. Was not an iTunes match subscriber. Was not automatically downloading music in iTunes & app store settings. I did agree to the apple music trial, without reading ALL the terms of service, so maybe I gave them permission to do this. Maybe the music will come back once attempts to enable iCloud music library succeed. In the meantime, no songs for me unless I am online, and then only to songs bought through the iTunes store. I'm in canada.
Just realized that this is the first time in a long time that Apple users ever waited this impatiently for an iTunes update. If you think Apple Music will fail now, you are lying to yourself 
Wow... Apple really under played this whole Apple Music thing at the WWDC compared to what it actually is. They didn't give it nearly enough credit at WWDC. They under promised and way over delivered in my opinion. The Connect section is everything Ping could have should have and wanted to be and more... Simply magical.
I would give Apple at least during the free trial to fix issues or smooth out problems with the UI. Nothing is perfect on day 1, especially when being launched in multiple countries at the same time. I'm sure most people here understand that. Don't confuse money with perfection. They don't go hand in hand, otherwise Microsoft wouldn't be digging themselves out of so many holes.
You're exactly right--PLUS they already had a fully functioning music service in Beats music, a fully functioning radio service in iTunes and iTunes Match worked fine...but put them together and everything breaks. You really would think as deep as their pockets are that they could have made this a flawless rollout. Not a great first impression, especially for those of us already on Spotify...

I don't have access to my own music anymore, as my music is stuck on "loading library" or "loading playlists" for a while now.
Also:
-it's stupid that I can't "like" an artist or song that I'm listening to to have it on my "for you" recommendations.
-it's stupid that I can't add a specific artist that I like on the "for you". I have to wait/hope that itunes suggests it based on the generic genres it offers up.
-it's completely stupid that a cool song I heard on Beats 1 (Cheer Up London by Slaves) wasn't available to save or to stream on itunes music... but was available on Spotify. Really??
Also:

One feature I did find really cool: When searching for a song, it'll also list VIDEOS of the song and you can play those and make a playlist of those, and then shoot them to your AppleTV. Could be great for parties, etc. Didn't expect music videos at all.
I live in Uruguay and when I access Music (I installed 8.4) I only get the song I have in my iPhone locally. What's this, Apple? Spotify takes us in consideration and you don't? COME ON! In which countries is Music working?
Well using Apple Music on iOS. Tons of albums. Guess I no longer really need iTunes Match anymore...
No Beatles streaming, so I am keeping iTunes Match is I don't end up keeping subscription since I have their entire collection. If I keep Apple Music it will be included in price of sub.

must be a showstopper bug in iTunes 12.2 so thats why it has not been released yet?
Apple usually releases iOS updates at 10 AM PST. They released 8.4 early and might be following a regular release schedule for iTunes. Relax and give it time. I'm sure it will be there in a few hours if not sooner.
Maybe they're waiting with the iTunes update because Apple Music and Beat1 is using all their servers and bandwidth, or something? Picture related: Hope this is temporary and downloading El Capitan will be smooth sailing.

I doubt server overload is preventing them from releasing iTunes.
Hopefully iTunes is up by the end of the week. I doubt they're going to wait too long for it.
