BTW, are Radio stations completely limited now? I wish there would be some sub genres, like Classic Rock, 80's Rock, 70's Hits, etc. It just seems like one generic station per genre now. Classic Rock, Alternative, etc.

Yeah, I got it too just now, after quitting iTunes and opening it again.
Really unprofessional way to break the - not so surprising - news.

Why? Been pretty decent for the millions of people downloading and trying it all once.

Yeah stop defending them, worlds richest company can't even launch a proper streamingservice, jeez I would feel ashamed. You launch a service that is the next-generation iTunes, but the only thing that is missing is iTunes for Windows and Mac.

I think they're working on the servers or something. I've got Apple Music open on my phone and iPad and the playlists are completely different. And when I create a playlist on one, it won't show up on the other...sometimes...and then sometimes it does.

Then suddenly, my Purchased playlist appeared.

My phone shows my iTunes playlists in Apple Music. My iPad doesn't. LOL what a mess. I think we'll get a better idea of how all this works in 2-3 days. :p
Ah I see! Fingers crossed it sorts itself out or iTunes 12.2 will allow them to sync across again :)

Ive a question... apple Music seems somehow a bit limited, the band Alasca has released two albums , I can see the two albums on spotify but just one (their latest) on Apple Misic, but in iTunes Store both albums are for sale....

My question is this, can people espect access to more albums once the three months free period are gone and you as a customer start paying?

That all depends on the Artist choosing to allow their songs/albums to be on Apple Music. I have a feeling new albums/songs probably won't be on Apple Music because the Artist wants to sell albums initially.

How does downloaded music work after you cancel your subscription?

1. I know you don't get to listen to it anymore.
2. Does it disappear from your library?
3. Or is it still there, but when if you try to play it it gives you an error message?

I would hate to download a lot if I find that later I have a bunch of zombie files in my music library.

Thanks

There are. I just set men up for classic rock.

Not sure if you guys have already been on the support forums over at Apple, however the consensus seems to be that iTunes 12.2 will be pushed out in 1 min...no idea if that is the case though.

But that'll just be based a rumor that someone made up and everyone ran with it...

Bugs Bugs Bugs and reduced experience for people who want to listen to their own library not rent from Apple

Tthe first sync I did with my mac , triggered by dragging this weeks Economist audio edition stripped all the album art from the other audio content on my iPhone - This is a problem I've been suffering with sporadically since iOS 8 launched last year. So if they were working on fixing that bug I can only hope its on the iTunes side not the iOS side ( I've had a couple of hour long phone conversations with 'executive relationship' about this bug after emailing Tim Cook a few months back.)

in terms of usability - not being able to rearrange the tabs at the bottom of the app means a reduced experience for users who wish to listen to their own music. previously you could switch between album, artist / whichever view you liked by setting the tabs at the bottom of the App. Now you only get one Tab for your stuff and you have to scroll back to the top of that view to switch view. Piss poor, Apple.

over in iBooks , audiobooks are sadly just a category, not much love here.

What is nice is the new slide the artwork to the left or right to jump back and forth 15 seconds at a time ,with the jump repeating .

What sucks is the fact that my economist audio files are now list in one folder rather than the sections it used to detect and NONE of the tracks have their name displayed any longer - just track 1 , track 2 - so there is no longer anyway i can choose which article i wish to listen to

I was looking forward to today but am feeling sour right now

No bug fixes and a crappier experience - not what i call an upgrade

It's not an issue for 99.999% of the users, because 99.999% of the users don't expect the iTunes update to be available within 60 seconds of the iOS update.

I guess Apple didn't realize that it's a business critical make-or-break issue of life and death for the remaining 0.001% of the users whether the iTunes update is available at 8am or 2pm PST.

Really, how was Apple supposed to know that it was so critical for some people? I heard there is some burning of Apple flags going on in some Scandinavian countries already... what's next? All out thermo-nuclear warfare?
