Apple Releases iOS 8 Beta 2 to Developers

It just takes some time for OTA updates to roll out. Just be patient

Airplane mode on, check for updates, tap to dismiss the error message, Airplane mode off, check for updates - worked for me. Or just wait a bit.
 
Trouble Downloading

Anyone else having trouble downloading OTA? I see mine, and I've tried downloading twice; I wouldn't think it'd be that hammered down, but maybe I'm wrong? :rolleyes:

Anyone else having this problem?

Downloaded beta 2 OTA. Tapped to install the update, and the phone said says "Verifying update..." and then reboots and stays on the Apple logo for some time but with no progress bar or anything. Then starts, with having to login by passcode and login to iCloud again. BUT the update didn't install. When I go to Settings -> General -> About it's still the old build no and it's also asking me if I want to install the new beta 2 update..

I've answered yes 4 times and the phone restarts but the update wasn't installed..

I'm having the exact same problem here. I've even cleared up 8gb of space to do the install, but it refuses to go.

Buying a UDID registration via eBay.

Wouldn't be surprised if Apple is watching for such BS (the beta is for developers, not me-too yahoos), identifying the seller, and revoking all UDIDs registered thereby. Don't expect your money back.

yea he is wrong from buying off ebay but how does apple know how a udid is registered to a certain seller???

- Podcasts installed (CAN'T DELETE IT ARGH)
- Camera and microphone icons in Messages.app are gray instead of blue. (Look better in my opinion)
- Safari is slightly faster
- Introducing iCloud Photos (iCloud Photos page prompted when opening Photos.app for the first time) This will disable photo stream.
- App store is still slow.
- Mail.app is slightly faster

Anyone else still not seeing the OTA update?
 
Does WhatsApp work properly with beta 2?

Hi Everyone,

I have used beta 1 of iOS 8, but decided to downgrade to 7.1.1 again because WhatsApp didn't work properly. Does anyone know if WhatsApp works with beta 2?

If you (or anyone else having the same problem - that the OTA update is downloaded but won't install) find a way to fix it, please write it here!

It can't be storage, cause I have 33GB of free storage on my phone.
I've tried restarting several times and hard restart too.
 
The adverts do not redirect feature, was one I emailed into apple via their feedback site a few months ago. Nice to see they are taking the feedback on board. So annoying when watching things online.
