Apple Releases iOS 8 Beta 4 to Developers

They have changed the settings app a lot and added more into it and fix the notification center also by changing the clear button again. And they took one app away also so they did a lot more things to this update I think it looks great.

The only difference is they removed the black divider lines and used different shades to separate the areas instead.
 
i keep on getting "Update Requested" and its not downloading :( rebooted already and turned wifi off

How frequent do you really toggle your switches?
One handed use is great, but I find myself using two hands more often because it is quicker with just about every task and I have large hands so it doesn't impact me at all.

I've felt that way with most iOS screenshots. Always looks better in person than screenshots posted to the web.

All I really care about is Safari on the iPad. Have they fixed that steaming pile of turd yet or do we still get constant tab refreshes and occasional crashes? Or does that not get fixed until the iPads have more than 1GB RAM?
 
Favorites and recents can be turned off for the App switching pane in Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Under setting "show in app switcher". I tried uploading a screen shot but it's failing

you'll need to download your provision profile and certificate off the developer portal and use some app like resign or imodsign drag the ipa in with your certs and stuff and it should automatically be installed.
 
Maybe just for people in Europe

but in Cellular, theres a new option under "data roaming" called "EU Internet"
"EU Internet services only applies to Internet and personal hotspot data traffic"

I'm presuming that EU means European Union? Excuse me if it's verbal diarrhoea

Fairly often. I will toggle the wifi when a hotspot is giving me a crappy or slow connection (which is very common). Also if I'm traveling or in an area with a weak cell signal I sometimes switch of cellular to conserve battery power.

I also use both hands when feasible, particularly for typing. But for everything else I like to use my phone one-handed. I'm typically walking around with something in my hands or multi-tasking so single handed use is a must.

Aye, I am most amused by my own knee-jerk reactions. Really love the direction iOS is going—icons and color palette and all.

As for Safari, I've learned to limit my tabs and rely more on Reading List. Fingers crossed for 2 GB of RAM in the next Air.

But I do agree that non-devs should not install any beta, because it tarnishes Apple's reputation about their motto : "It just works". I know it does because I personally do get a lot of negative comments about Apple when I say to my friends "Sorry, I can't do this and that with my iPhone because I'm testing iOS 8 beta...". To be clear, yes: that's what I meant. I use my main phone for development because I don't have another just sitting around to use specifically for that. However, I understand the risks and implications of doing so, and most people who are not developers do not.

What I was implying was that non-devs really shouldn't install these betas (and then come here to the forums to complain about how buggy they are).
