Aye, I am most amused by my own knee-jerk reactions. Really love the direction iOS is going—icons and color palette and all.

As for Safari, I've learned to limit my tabs and rely more on Reading List. Fingers crossed for 2 GB of RAM in the next Air.

Tim Cook says he does 80% of his work on an iPad. Clearly he's not using Safari much.

Weird this update just forced my phone into recovery mode. Guess I'll have to restore to Beta 4.

Messages app

I'm pretty sure the emoji symbol is now much happier??

I hate that apple have removed the feature to swipe the keyboard down on an phone if the body of your message exceeds the space where your thread is.

To be clear, yes: that's what I meant. I use my main phone for development because I don't have another just sitting around to use specifically for that. However, I understand the risks and implications of doing so, and most people who are not developers do not.

What I was implying was that non-devs really shouldn't install these betas (and then come here to the forums to complain how buggy they are).

Yes ok, we are on the same wavelength.

If I understand what you're saying, this messages feature is still there.

Here in the UK, I've got an "EU Internet" option beneath Data Roaming in the Mobile menu of Settings. The UI doesn't exactly make it clear what it's for - I would guess enabling roaming just for EU countries where it's cheaper.

From 15th December 2015, there will be no roaming charges across the EU, so it'll be very useful for selectively enabling roaming in EU countries after this date.

Yuck. The control center has all changed and the "recently deleted" folder in photos can no longer be put at the bottom! That was the best thing, being able to hide the recently deleted folder at the bottom of the page (meaning you'd only see it if you scrolled through the folders)

Recently deleted is still at the bottom, and Recently added is still at the top. Not sure what you're seeing?

They separated wallpaper from display and brightness And now emoticons show up in the QuickType bar instead of just ""

I'll keep updating what I'm noticing.

In yosemite when you reply to a message from the notification the close and send buttons are black not grey.

In yosemite when you handoff safari the bar says "Opening Webpage from Handoff"-----Handoff is damn near flawless at this point

In yosemite when someone else w/ iMessage is typing the cloud "..." shows up here now too

If it's a 24-hour one then just once. So at least once, and perhaps twice (and depending on how broken it is maybe even more than that potentially). ;)

I don't know any 24hr analog clocks. If a digital clock is broken, there's usually no display.

There are some 24 hour analog clocks: http://www.amazon.co.uk/GreatGadgets-1858-24-Hour-Clock/dp/B006XHZ7X4 (for example).

As for digital clocks (or even analog clocks) they can be broken in different ways, where the display is just stuck one one value, or it's just (much) slower or faster somehow, or it even jumps for some reason, all are broken in some way essentially.

Anyway, this is an off-topic discussion really.

Mail app has become worse.

EDIT: Tapping messages or folders to display in an iCloud account results in the app freezing indefinitely until you force quit or reset once or thrice.

"Searching" Data Mode

Anyone else's phone getting stuck in "Searching" for a cell network? Not sure if iOS 8 related, or if my phone is acting up hardware-wise?

the play fast forward and rewind buttons should be one line, not this clunky old style

Does anybody know what's going on with photostream? Is it no longer on the device but still in icloud? Any insight?
