Update went pretty fast. I'm back up and running on my 6s+. I don't jailbreak so I updated.

Updated, all well

I don't jailbreak, my "rooting" days are over

Yeah it's just not worth the hassle anymore considering the iPhone has most of the JB features I used to use anyway.

Hopefully the government hasn't found a way to exploit this security hole. Sad that I'm more worried about them than some rando criminal. They have the resources to do some real damage.

Apple today released an iOS 9.3.4 update for the iOS 9 operating system, just over two weeks after releasing iOS 9.3.3 and less than two months before we expect to see the public release of iOS 10, currently in beta testing.

iOS 9.3.4 is available immediately via an over-the-air download on all devices running iOS 9.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 9.3.4 provides "an important security update" and is recommended for all iOS 9 users.

iOS 9.3.4 is likely to be the last update to iOS 9, with iOS 10 coming in September alongside new iOS devices.

iOS 10 brings a slew of new features, including a revamped Lock screen experience, an overhauled Messages app with new functionality and its own App Store, a new Photos app with object and facial recognition, a redesigned Music app, a centralized HomeKit app, and a Siri SDK for developers.

Update: iOS 9.3.4 fixes the Pangu iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak exploit.

[doublepost=1470332002][/doublepost]I got an error saying This Device isn't Eligible for the Requested Build. iPhone 6 64GB. The software downloaded and tried to install then the error popped. any ideas?

Dear people who are saying "this patches the jailbreak", a jailbreak must bypass security features of iOS in order to be installed, and if jailbreak software can do it, so can other people who want to do much more with your phone than install some new features. So the more correct thing is to say that this patches a severe security hole. To just say "jailbreak" distracts from the real security issue.

wah, time to update my iPad from 9.3.2 to 9.3.3 while i still can. been too lazy the past few days

Anyway to restore to iOS 9.3.3 in DFU mode ?
Of course, as long Apple's servers are still signing 9.3.3, which should be the case for a week or so just to make sure 9.3.4 isn't borked. After that, nope.
I miss the days when you could restore from locally saved SHSH blobs.

I got this message, too, on both my 9.7 iPad Pro and my 12.9 iPad Pro......decided not to bother trying the iPhone right now; I'll wait a few hours and try again.

Update killed my iPad Pro. Keep getting message not compatible with current device, which is obviously nonsense. Looks like Apple servers are over-taxed and iTunes downloaded a corrupt update file. Cannot restore or update so I'm hoping to try again later. Suggestions to fix this problem?

i still dont understand if its thethered or untethered. ive read thats tethered but i dont understand why so much hype then. usually there was always a tethered jb for every ios. the big thing its an untethered version

Don't use update with iTunes. Tried updating my air 2 with iTunes, device now bricked. It is really wired that 9.3.4 ipsw is not signed. I am going back to 9.3.3 right now. Hopefully they fix it fast.

9.3.4 ipsw is not signed. That's causing problems.

Seriously why do people want to jailbreak their phone these days?! Go buy a Samsung then.

Then they probably complain when their phone gets hacked.

I got it on my obsolete iPhone 5 as well. The OTA update worked however. I am going to wait on my other devices for a bit.

its semi-tethered, as in your device reboots normally and you can use it but your cydia tweaks dont work until you click the jailbreak app on the springboard. not a big deal really
