By the way: Is this intended that after the automatic reboot (after the update) I don’t get a notification anymore on the lock screen that the update got installed? Instead I now got a pop up message where there was an “OK” button.

Anybody know the current state of Apple's QUIC efforts WRT 14.4+ ?

I suspect Apple will Drag its Heals, simply because the company's Apple Arcade competition, Stadia, Luna, xCloud, & FB Cloud, are ALL over it.

Their custom Client-side QUIC implementations will Rule the Day early on.

And nothing Apple can do about it ...

But, Apple "could" surprise, they could simply accept it & move forward.

IMO, other than Qualcomm's x60 chip, improved cellular back-end infrastructure, & Wi-Fi 6E technology (which adds support for 6 GHz wireless spectrum), HPPT/3 (which incorporates QUIC) is probably the most-important thing in Tech this year.

Anything on the state of Apple's QUIC is much appreciated.

Would NOT be surprised if certain, UN-announced features & capabilities, are released in each recent iOS update, including 14.4.1.

Could you give me some more info on this security issue? Could simply visiting a website be enough to get infected?
There is no additional information yet (also not in the NIST database), but the description in Apple's support document sure sounds like it. I don't think they would have released a new version for a single security issue if it wasn't serious.

Well, what ever the fix was my 11 sure got VERY warm during the update. Haven’t experienced that with an update in a long time.

Preparing update forever… what's taking so long? Really?

100 MB files, just put them where the belong, run a script and reboot.

yea nothing apple can do about it, now that is a ignorant comment... some people.

Yes, update immediately. All browsers on iOS require Webkit use so it doesn't matter if you don't use Safari. Update.

ALL modern browsers are based off WebKit code so it’s not just iOS, macOS or iPadOS, it’s all computing systems
