All gone.

I installed the update, it wiped my iTunes clean. Good thing I just backed it up on Time Machine, any tips on how to easily restore it?

The scroll bars have looked like that since iTunes 10 was released. How are you just realizing it now?
I was thinking the same thing. There is no change folks. Move along.

I wonder how long it'll take someone to come up with a homesharing 3g tweak and post it on Cydia. The current offerings I've used don't work all that well (ie. Zumocast).

Syncing my iPhone and iPad seems to take a lot longer with this update, and now I'm being told by a pop-up window that my iPhone is still syncing and can't be ejected even though the iTunes screen says at the top that the sync is finished...?

I'm having the same problem.

Will this support streaming from an iOS device to iTunes? I use my iPod touch as external storage for my music but sometimes it is inconvenient to connect via USB. I have long wanted to be able to wirelessly share my music library to my MBP. I guess the general question is, will this allow wireless syncing? Maybe Apple tip-toed around that but still managed to offer the feature.

I'm trying to sync my touch4g and it says preparing sync in step 4.???? Now it's holding all of my processors at 100% and the status bar is crawling super slow. What the &^% is up with the new update.

Any solutions guys?

Mine did this the first time - the second time it took lest than 15 seconds to sync. I did notice it was re-sizing 900 images the first time (I dont have that many new images, so Im guessing it is re-optimizing them for a different standard that 4.3 will use... I could be wrong, just a guess.)

The home sharing with iOS devices feature is neat (about time really), but it's a shame it only works with iOS 4.3+ seeing as I still own a perfectly functional 1st Gen iPod Touch that Apple capriciously decided to stop supporting, likely to try and force people to upgrade to newer models even if they don't need them.

If you don't need a newer model then you don't need new features.

Anyone adding features for free to your HDTV, or your lawnmower, or your car?

Just Saw The Video and I'm a little worried

Sorry Posted in the wrong topic.

Updated fine here no issues to report so far. iPhone syncing at perfectly normal speeds. Strangely recent iPhone app updates wouldn't install on my phone until I installed the latest version of iTunes though.

I'm loving the thought of streaming stuff from my Mac to my iPad. I just wish there were some way I could send stuff from my iMac to my Samsung LED TV without needing an Apple TV. I would gladly pay $20 or so for an ATV app that works with my TV, but I really don't need another box and something else connected to my TV. I just thought that I could stream stuff to my HDTV using this new function and the HDMI connection, but then who wants a cord like that? Arrgh.

Whereas I used to download these things right away, I now wait to hear whether Apple disabled some content I use or some functionality I had.

*sigh*

I disagree with the premise of your argument. First the obvious: Two "wrongs" don't make a "right". Second, who said free? I'm sure owners of these devices would pay for an upgrade depending on what the features were. But more importantly, these devices consume content and are computers in their own right. Notwithstanding the features which require additional horsepower that the slower devices can't handle, I don't understand why Apple can't support them longer in general.

Comparing an iPod Touch to TV's, lawnmowers, and cars is a little... uh pardon the pun... Apples and oranges.

I believe Apple chops off hardware way too fast, but I realize that's entirely subjective.

Mines does that since the last 2 versions of Itunes. What a pain it is! I transfer my apps to the pc and the status bar just returns back to the apple logo even if it hasn't finished. So you end up not knowing what is transferring.

Please Apple, instead of making all these tiny incremental changes to iTunes, redesign the whole thing. It's awful. It's one of the least intuitive things they've ever designed. Using multiple devices (iPod/iPhone) etc. with it is often just bewildering. Okay, so feel free to call me stupid and lacking in tech knowledge, but it's not good.

The Spotify App for Mac is so much better in terms of music. Easy to queue songs, easy to navigate, dare I say 'fun'. iTiunes is not fun. It's like using a Sage accounting system.

Still gives me the spinning beach ball for a good 20 seconds after opening...

I just wish they'd make it more lightweight.

EDIT: 5 minutes in and it's still delivering my genius results too :-(
