Apple Releases iTunes 10.6 With Support for 1080p Video Content

Create iPad or Apple TV Version — Still 720p

It appears that the option to "Create iPad or Apple TV Version" in the Advanced menu in iTunes still produces a 720p video even if the source is a 1080p video. Shame... =/

That's too bad but there should be other third party options to handle it like Handbrake (which frankly work much much better than iTunes).
