Apple Releases iTunes 11 with Simplified Player, Redesigned Store, and More

* No shuffle in Album views - it shuffles only the album and not all music
* It doesnt group all songs of an albums in the "song" list view like it did before
 
Downloaded and checked.
Same junk diffrent GUI.
God, when they gonna rid of the sync unclear button.
 
It always bugs me how horrible the resolution of the thumbnails MR puts up from screenshots. They are always grainy.

Anyone else have problems with the search window? When I type the first letter iTunes hangs for about 20-25 seconds, before I can write any more. I have Snow Leopard and MBP 2009, and an external 2.4tb library.

You can now join songs into a single album using the part of compilation checkbox. I had an Until Now cd that I imported and each song appeared as a separate album but now they are in a single album. I am sure this ability was in the previous version but now it is right in the get into menu. :)
 
I personally love it. Apple is moving towards the right direction. They are implementing darker shades and a modern software design.

They are getting us used to darker shades hence why the Macbook air will be released in slate Summer 2013.
 
App annoyances:

Would have liked an app update page similar to the iphone, where you don't need to click through to a new page to read what's new.

Itunes doesn't seem to be pulling my app updates that I did today off the iphone...
 
GREAT Update!

Back up your library and get to downloading. Running great on my late 2011 MBP with SSD. Really like the new functionality with 'up next' and playlists. Synching seems to have been made a little easier as well!

lets say u wanna remove old crap episodes that are stored in the cloud

u go to

view > hide cloud content

and u do the same for movies etc

Spotify isn't limited to low quality. It has 3 quality settings, with the ability to stream at 320knps. That's enough to give anything in the iTunes Store a run for its money.
 
I Think simplify means Not customizable in any Way again. It's a shame i can't get my previous Look working again. iTunes new means of Media Control are Way to Album Driven for my taste. I wish there were a list view under Genre.
 
Slight fail - iPhone 4S icon = iPhone 5

Just synced my iPhone5 and my Girlfriends iPhone4S
needless to say the image shown for an iPhone 4S is an iPhone 5

it's a small issue, but I don't know why in the 88MB+ programme apple couldnt put the correct images for the products

ironically mine is doing the opposite

but i want it to change accordingly to the season i click on :mad:
 
How do you resize your album artwork again? I looked under View - View Options but can't seem to find it. Thanks.

Nevermind figured it out.
 
So is this a Cocoa or a Carbon app?

I think it is the only app I have on my Mac that still has the OK / Cancel Buttons in the Controls...

Whats that?!

Enlighten me please: IF I want to roll back to iTunes 10.7 I just need to use TM, right? Or is further tinkering required?
