Apple Releases iTunes 11 with Simplified Player, Redesigned Store, and More

Feels very good so far. Now please enable iTunes Match and iTunes in the Cloud part for the nordic. You've been teasing us with the non-working button for the last few days.
 
I'm not at my Mac tonight so can someone let me know please if the new iTunes rectifies any if the numerous known issues with artwork in iTunes Match? I have got all my iTunes artwork looking spiffy but despite restarting iCloud several times the changed artwork just WILL NOT show on my iPhone or ipad. I'm hoping iTunes 11 is the fix for this........:confused:
 
I like it, so far it's clean and quick. Interested to see how it does with syncing my phone when I get home from class.
 
I just noticed if you click on View in the menubar you can bring back the sidebar. It has been adjusted slightly to fit in with the newer design. I think I still prefer having a sidebar instead of the dropdown button and I'm glad I have the choice to enable or disable it :D

Streaming to multiple Airplay speakers was in 10.7 (kind of hidden...), but being able to do that concurrent with the local output is new (I believe).

if it wasn't for people like us then you would never know if there are issues.
 
Applescript?

Any word on if this redesign/rewrite still supports apple scripts? I would hate to loose all the awesome scripts I've found on Doug's AppleScripts. They make it so much easier to manage/fix my library.
 
Hopefully Wireless Sync will be better. I always need to close out and reopen iTunes for it to detect my devices.

i did the same thing as i did not like how the pics looked on the itunes part of the apple site plus i was happy with how the old one worked and i was happy with it but i will try it if i dont like it i will revert back i backed up my music folder that stores the settings and everything

ok i am happy i can put it back to the way the older itunes looked with view but does anybody know how to shrink the size of the icons for the tv shows and movies they are to big and i have 2 23 in hd monitors in 1920x1080 rez

retina Macbook Pro here and no retina icon for the dock?? Major miss.
 
Does it still allow you to add lyrics to songs, update album art, add descriptions to films/episodes etc?
 
Ok...I don't like the new screens so I always go to the song list...but now everything is WAY to the left without the artwork/playlist on the left side.

Is there any way to get that back?
