Apple today released a minor iTunes update for OS X El Capitan users, which brings the desktop version of Apple Music in line with the recently released iOS 9.2 version of Apple Music. The update adds support for works, composers, and performers when listening to Classical music in Apple Music, and it brings general stability and performance improvements.
This update allows you to see works, composers, and performers while browsing Classical music in the Apple Music catalog. It also includes stability and performance improvements.
Today's update is available for all OS X El Capitan users and follows iTunes 12.3.1, a minor update that was released in October.

Good. Hopefully this will fix the laggy crash-prone mess on my brand-new 5k iMac. You'd think that for their latest kit, the software would be running pretty well. Pretty well, not perfect, because no software is 100% perfect.

That's welcome news! I do hope it now shows composers more clearly, because previously, album covers and titles usually showed interpreters only, making it hard to find out who you were listening to. I am glad they implemented something that I provided feedback for, for once!

Oh man, about ***** time. It amazingly took them over a month and a half to fix this crippling bug somehow introduced in the last point release:

Apple has so perfected design, manufacture, and distribution logistics of gadgets, all while letting its software divisions turn into a total joke. Sure, why get bothered responding to needs of (locked-in) users when there's all those NEW CONSUMERS with their new consumer MONEY wanting to buy gadgets gadgets gadgets?

Is it just me or is iTunes overall poorly optimized? In a lot of areas like browsing movies and syncing the scrolling/animations are so choppy and slow.

Dealing with classical in iTunes has been so bad for so long that I can't remember. Since forever I guess.

So now they decide to improve for the online store. And presumably not elsewhere.

Gee, folks. Thanks for nothing.

That bug has been around for a long time. I noticed that it only seemed to happen in Albums or Artists view. iTunes would literally freeze up for as much as two minutes per track. Thankfully, it seems to finally be fixed.

Hmm, this seems to have also fixed my iTunes not being able to use iTunes Radio at all. Still can't create new stations without opening up the old iTunes then creating it so it stays on my Apple ID.

It's not just you. I'm impressed with how much it lags for me.
