Curious if they removed lyric support in this version of iTunes? Wouldn't be surprised as iOS 11.2 no longer has lyrics, major bummer for those that use it. Maybe it'll be like star ratings and come back someday

Can someone please tell me if 'Get Album Artwork' is still a broken feature?
I have been sending Apple feedback non stop about this.

I'm on 12.6.3 so I can't check

DRM.

The PC can playback UHD Bluray on Windows 10 with a compatible UltraHD BD drive.... But even then only with a ludicrous combination of Intel secure chip motherboard and CPU, Displayport compatibility, video card and PowerDVD UHD!

Same situation with Netflix 4k......needs the above compatible PC setup.
Oh, so that's why my old BluRay player crapped out so frequently trying to play discs.

what is taking so ucking long that they can't fix this GAPLESS PLAYBACK phenomenon. I have over 100,000 songs in my iTunes library and EVERY SINGLE GAWD DAM TIME when I open iTunes, I have 41,167 songs that are seeking Gapless Playback information that does not save. iTunes repeats this cycle every time I open my library. iTunes is ucking useless.

I mean UltraHD Bluray discs though (marked like in the pic), they have the REALLY tight DRM, not normal Bluray :D

From the release notes: "The new iTunes focuses on music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks."

What did the old iTunes focus on?
This illustrates the lack of direction at Apple.
What is the future of video, what of streaming content, hi-res content, iDevice mgt ?
A single, integrated solution or smaller focused apps ?
Answer: a halfway orphaned, still bloated app with no direction.
The only message it gets across is "We should be beaten up by Steve, but he isn't here anymore"

So just duhpgrades that offer nothing but ****.
Staying with 12.6.3 whatever I may miss on unnecessary complications

12.7.2? When will Apple reboot iTunes?
They will release iTunes 13.0 when they are ready to throw all pre Sierra MacOS under the bus. Right now MacOS 10.9 is under the bus. Probably will happen with iOS 12 and obsoleting any Mac that can't run Sierra and require iPhone 8 or higher because they will be on an iPhone X.1 then.

The bus must have an impressive wheelsize to get along

as much as I'd like to see app support (without running the special version) - I'd accept a separate app application as they did with books.
What is sill missing is Ring Tone support (yes there are ways to deal with it) I do think that should be in iTunes with the music stuff. They can do all the updates they want but without some app support and tone support I guess I'm stuck on old version until won't work at all.

WTF
When i play any song (downloaded or in apple music) it just skips it for one second move to note nexts in the list and i get to hear nothing!
A software used to play music that can not play music - ridiculous!
I have a brand new macbook pro with no special tweeks - just vanilla updated all by routine.

Another epic "update", lol. Had to pull it off Tim himself from the servers

I'm just talking with an apple assistant, i would you know if there's some solution

Hey dude, you just need to log out your id apple account in Itunes and then log in and the problem it solves. Good luck!

Anyone else having problems with playing videos (movies, TV shows) since update? I get black screen with a stopped media controller, much like how it used to happen with HDCP errors. Usually if it were HDCPs, I usually get an error message or something. But this time around, nothing.

edit: I've just checked, it's definitely not HDCP unless Netflix stopped using DRM.

Yes, this fixed the issue with playing Apple Music tracks that hadn't been downloaded to my Mac.

Don't panic when all sorts of Apple Music stuff you had added to your library disappears from it. It'll return when you sign back in.
