Album opening animation is still choppy af.

It’s like 3fps on a new iMac with 580 Pro graphics. It’s been that way for a very long time. I don’t understand how they think that’s acceptable.

I’ll often look away when I open it.

Ive been having an issue where it only crashes while backing up my devices. Hope this does in fact fix that.

Nothing changed after the update here.

I keep iTunes open all the time (due to Home Sharing). In my case it crashes at least two times a day, regardless if it's used or not.

The only time I caught it crashing, I saw briefly something related to device syncing on its top center bar. Maybe it's something similar to your issue.

Before High Sierra, iTunes was stable on my machine. It's difficult to figure out what is causing the issue. I'll keep an eye on the device backup/syncing side and hope to find a fix.

Same here, nothing changed. Plugged in my iPad after updating and it crashed before a backup could be made.

I can reopen iTunes and get a complete backup always on the second attempt. Photos didn’t crash this time. Also my iPhone was able to get a backup in before crashing.

Guess my issues didn’t get worse, but they are sure not fixed.

Um...... Is anyone else having the same problem or it's just me?

iTunes wouldn't stop crashing every time I try and open it after the update is installed, reopen or not does not work. Every time it's opened, it closes and quits itself almost immediately.

I'm running the updated version of iTunes and MacOS High Sierra 10.13.2 (17C88).

WOOOW finally it didn't ask me for my itunes password 3 times after starting back up. HOLY COW! That was painfully killing me.

Same here...and still really annoyed by the removal of reset plays function.
Wasn't that simply moved into the Get Info dialog?

What the hell has happened, with this update all my audiobooks have started duplicating and re-duplicating themselves?!?!

It's got to be sabotage at this point! The depths of Apple's recent buggyness seems to know no bounds!

Yes, it is there.
But...
Issues list:
1) It is not as intuitive.

I'd say changing a property of a track in the same dialog window where all other properties are changed is more intuitive, not less.

2) Good luck resetting the play count in more than a few songs.

Select the songs, cmd-I, click Reset. No luck involved.

To each and their own about intuitiveness. It was in the right click menu and got changed to be hidden somewhere else.
Oh, you do need the luck to reset multiple songs. Because that reset plays button is NOT there!
See below for having only 3 songs selected. I am not even talking about the whole playlist!

Not sure what you're doing wrong there, but this this six tracks across four artists and two albums:

The Reset button is right there. iTunes version 12.7.2.58.

Ah, that could be the reason why you have a different result than mine. My bad.
My iTunes version is 12.6.3.6, needed the App Store version to work with the company phone.

Ah, yep, better get upgrading. After all, this is the "iTunes 12.7.2" thread ;)

Just hoping that they do release the fixes for 12.6.3. Given that 12.6.3 was released after 12.7 to keep the App Store capability.
And that is on top of the fact that 12.7 is essentially impossible to manage homemade ringtone easily.

Easily fixed with AppleScript
If it's easily fixed with AppleScript, then why is Apple not fixing it?

real question: Whats the purpose of resetting play counts?
That's how I organise what I want to play: Anything that hasn't been played yet.
Especially important for audio books, where the play count goes up if you play the first ten seconds of a 30 hour book.

I feel like Apple could have bothered to properly center the traffic light buttons in playlist windows...Not to mention that playlist windows still don't retain their size/position unless you quit the app with the windows open. "Details"... Pretty sure Apple had already solved these problems once upon a time.
