For those of you that are checking for updates with iTunes and seeing that you are up to date with 7.6.2 .....you need to click the apple logo and click "Software Update". It shows up there...for some reason doesnt show up using "Check For Updates" using iTunes..but it is indeed in the Software Update.

Uh... am I missing this "Applications" icon some of you are speaking of?

No application icon here

Running 7.7

If you don't have any old iPod games, you probably won't have the icon (kinda like the Rented Movies icon). Not like I can do much with these darn games. Free updates for Ms. Pac-Man and Sims Pool, anybody? :)

App Store Folder Available

Go to preferences and than General. Click on Applications. It should show up in your upper left folder section where Audiobooks and Ringtones are grouped. The store itself isnt available, but should be at 9am...

Does anyone else find it interesting/odd that there isn't a new Applications tab for sync options for iPhones (like the Info/Ringtones/Music/Photos/Podcasts/Video tabs)? I assumed you'd be able to decide what applications to sync, as with other data. Perhaps it's a time-based auto-add, like how the iPhone automatically added the "send to .Mac gallery" button after the announcement of that feature, without requiring a software update? Or maybe you have to own an iPhone-compatible app before it will show?

It will probably pop up when 2.0 is installed

Some developer showed the tabs using 7.7 and 2.0 and it was there just like you're saying...so it will be there, as soon as we have apps and 2.0

I'm sure it'll show up once your iPhone is upgraded to 2.0.

NO! 9 AM! My tee time is at 8, I will have to bring my mac and hookup to the clubhouses wifi and download it

I had no reason to have "Applications" show up in previous versions of iTunes (after my 5G iPod died) so I disabled it. I guess when I updated to 7.7 iTunes saw that I have an iPod Touch and decided to re-enable it for me.
