this update broke my magic trackpad 2's haptic feedback. it was fine before the update. now it no longer gives me feedback - everything else works fine tho...

I noticed some really bad lag with animations after this update, especially swiping between desktops/full screen apps. Restarted and it seems to have resolved it.

I can't remember how the usual MacOS upgrade flow is like...

When I installed this update (11.3.1) I clicked on update now, the download started, and after a while I got the "installer window" (you know, like when you install an app; you get an installation window where you'll have to click next/continue a few times, the installation process bar is shown, and then a confirmation that it's installed with a huge green checkbox or whatever). After that, if I remember correctly, I had to enter my admin password and then click the "restart now" button. It was not like the install process for bigger updates where there's a different installer window for MacOS updates.

I can't remember getting this "installation window" when doing minor updates in MacOS. However, I might have just forgot how it usually is when you update. Or perhaps it differs depending on what is included in the update.

Anyone else got this installation flow?

EDIT: I have an M1 MacBook Air, if that makes any difference (since I've heard the update flow is a bit different on the M1 compared to Intel based Macs).

I got the alert that update 11.3.1 was available. Updated (took a while, 2GB?) then the computer restarted and installed, all good. However, when I look in "About this Mac" it shows my current version as 11.3, not 11.3.1. This happened on both my Macbook Pro but not on my old Macbook (shows 11.3.1 after update). Has anyone else seen this?

2.40GB here.
Yeah ahh, like that is gargantuan and didn't come out very long after the last one applied on my M1 Mini. Is that a new record in the history of Apple for boo boo replacement or "new & improved" update after the last one?

I'm going to continue running Catalina on my 2020 i5 10th gen MBP and Mojave on other older hardware until it is no longer supported and then maybe update to Catalina.
