doing the app expose with the trackpad finally works, even when for example the other safari windows are in a different desktop. it's still a bit buggy tho...

On the iPhone, IOS 27 has been pretty solid for me, better than IOS 26 was to be honest. that said, is MacOS 27 the same? Is it as/more solid than MacOS 26? Wondering how usable it is on a secondary laptop I'm thinking of sacrificing to the cause.

Use the appropriate macOS forum.

It has beta specific posts.

Is this the one that totally does away with Rosetta?
No that will be macOS 28. macOS 27 just pops a notification when you open an intel app with Rosetta that the app won’t run in macOS 28 and to check the developer website for an update. Image 10-08-2026 at 20.44.png

Anyone else have a problem with Spaces keyboard shortcuts not working now? For example, for my spaces i use CTRL 1, CTRL 2, CTRL 3 and so on. They are still all set as keyboard shortcuts under mission control but they no longer work. Only CTRL 1 does and CTRL left arrow/right arrow.

if there's anyone who has installed this beta, are you also seeing something weird with the light version of the abstract golden gate wallpaper? for some reason, it appears to be the iOS 27 version; the dark variant of the desktop wallpaper is still the same as before.

ignore the extra photo under the "Your Photos" section.

Looks fine here

However I did get it with the Dark version, and after switching to another wallpaper (Sequoia) and back to GG, the wallpaper fixed itself and there was a smooth transaction to the right state.

Apple today provided developers with the fifth beta of macOS Golden Gate, with the update coming two weeks after Apple seeded the fourth beta.
Pretty sure it's three weeks after the fourth beta

Has anyone noticed that for the messages app, they no longer allow just the contact photos to show if you were to decrease the window to the minimum? If you end up shrinking the box to the smallest possible, it'll remove the contact box completely and just show the current convo window with no way of selecting other convos unless you expand the window.

Is this a glitch?

It is for me. Both on Mac and iPhone. Vastly better. IMO

I've not had a single hickup. What issues are you having? I mostly use my system for Photoshop, email, and some light coding.
I was having a few finder and safari issues with the previous beta...either would lock up or not have menu clicks work. closing/reopening the app usually fixed it. Hope this release clears those up...but over all...pretty solid.

Does Safari still have the damned rounded curves in tabs?
They should have given a way to turn off Liquid Ass altogether.
It needs a purge, not a tweak.

Photos app is not searching, getting a 'No Results. There were no results. Try a new search' message.

Update: It looks like it's re-indexing so will just have to let it run for awhile.
