I completely wiped my computer after a big crash, so maybe that's it, but has anyone found Messages is just terrible now? Can't space-bar to preview, can't send images. No clue what's happening, but maybe it's the beta.

Not sure about this, but I'm still waiting for the iMessage cross-device sync (e.g., delete on one device, deletes everywhere). Wasn't that promised last June?

Drives me nuts too. It's gone unfixed for quite a few versions now, so I'm not holding my breath.

I submitted "feedback" about it but for f--- sake, you'd think they would catch that one in normal QA testing. But then again I'm only assuming they do QA testing...

I haven't seen the white bar since updating so hopefully that's done.

Are you guys also seeing image distortion? Where it looks like pieces of the image are rearranged... This has been happening since 10.13.0 on both of my computers. One set to optimize, the other download & keep originals. It seems to only affect RAW images from what I can tell... I've searched but can't find anyone else with this same issue.

This terrible update just bricked my entire Apple Mail app.

Leave it to Apple to screw up every single update that they ever release.

I just updated macOS from 10.3.2 to macOS 10.3.3, simply to fix Apple's OTHER BUG of Messages appearing out of order... and lo and behold, after updating, Apple Mail doesn't work anymore.

Apple Mail will launch, but when trying to compose a new message, nothing but a blank compose window shows up on the screen. Nothing else responds in Apple Mail, either. The entire program just sits there, completely unresponsive.

Playing devil's advocate, I even allowed Mail to sit unattended for 3 hours on its own... and after coming back 3 hours later, absolutely nothing. Same exact thing.

Force-quitting Mail and relaunching it doesn't do a thing... same exact problem.

Restarting the Mac doesn't do a thing... same exact problem.

Gee, thanks, Apple! Now I have a non-working email program, thanks to you!!

Great job on your continued downward spiral into irrelevance in the technology world.

well the combo does the same as the App Store update… after a restart I have a forever long black hang screen… need to power button restart to login… no update done

@tywebb13 the iTunes 12.7.3 is for macOS High Sirra only or also for El Capitan and Sierra?

Thanks
Came

I found the links for Windows versions too:

32 bit: https://secure-appldnld.apple.com/i...8-FFEA-11E7-9647-F02911B39B62/iTunesSetup.exe

64 bit: https://secure-appldnld.apple.com/i...FFEA-11E7-92F9-85B67CCC33A9/iTunes64Setup.exe

But to answer your question - system requirements for iTunes 12.7.3 are OS X 10.10.5 or later or Windows 7, so yes that includes Sierra and El Capitan

Terminal update results too in a non-changing black screen after a restart... ANYONE? ANY WORKAROUND?

Sorry mine did not do that after the new iTunes D/L and install.
Thanks, Marty. I cancelled and restored an iTunes library from an hour earlier and it loaded it without doing the forced rebuild. Next time I guess I'll make sure to shut down iTunes and wait a couple minutes before I let the app store update iTunes.

10.13.3 like 10.13.2 ‘s update doesn’t work. My Mac restarts with a black screen. Nothing but a black arrow with white outer lines around the arrow to see. Even when I leave my Mac for hours like that. Nothing changes... any workaround?

App Store update didn't work for me either, I'm downloading the combo update to see if that works.

Amazes me how after only 90 posts there are so many folks whose computers failed to install this update when done through the app store, as did mine. I did the combo update and that was successful.

I know! Combo update worked for me straight off where App store update wouldnt. When I looked, the App store update had removed itself :-(

There is also a new xprotect and gatekeeper:

http://swcdn.apple.com/content/down...k5ifv03n7qxcsumidx9i/GatekeeperConfigData.pkg

These often install automatically without any users interaction via the mac app store. However it is also quite common for them to fail to install. This results in many people having very old versions of these leaving their computers vulnerable. So it is good to get these installers to force them to install if necessary.

I find that the app Walls of Troy helps to ascertain if it is up-to-date. You can get it here if you want: https://itunes.apple.com/app/wallsoftroy/id443987849

Interestingly enough, the combo updater failed the first try on my 2015 rMBP, go figure. Second try was successful. The only thing different was the second time through, I told the installer to NOT trash the dmg file.

Anyone on a 15" Touch Bar MBP able to confirm whether their Intel IGP still functions?
Even on battery, right after boot the system is running the AMD GPU on my 2017.

I've done the PRAM and SMC resets, even tried flicking the "Automatic Graphics Switching" option a few times to check to no avail.

Stuck for over an hour - can’t wait to restore from backup.

And I’m pretty sure it’s not converting my fusion drive to APFS. I’m not even sure if they will ever support it anyway.

I think it is worth pointing out that if you have an iMac Pro you should NOT use the combo. So far too there has been no special combo made for the iMac Pro. They might make one when 10.13.4 is released.

But to update to 10.13.3 for an iMac Pro you should use the special delta specifically for that machine at https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1952

What Mac model? and are those Thunderbolt 3 connections or some other way?

We have LG 4K's but a lower end model that is Displayport or HDMI connections with out any issue like that. (USB-C to HDMI direct from laptop worked fine but with the Elgato Thunderbolt 3 dock found that we had to use USB-C to Displayport to get things to play nicely - using the DisplayPort connection on the dock directly had weird detection issues - will be doing some testing with some HP 4K's to see if the same problem shows up - through the dock USB-C to HDMI resulted in a weird lag to the LG 4K that didn't happen when connected any other way)

Late 16 MBP 15”. It happened whether using discrete or integrated. It was always on the TB3 connection but others on an Apple support forum had the same issue on HDMI with a Dell Ultrasharp.

An LG firmware update in December and .2 mostly fixed it, but it still happens once a week or so (about as often as the trackpad haptic fails and gets ‘stuck’ on left mouse click...

The Apple store were great, but could only offer rolling back to Sierra as a fix for the monitor issue, but I’d already converted lots of external SSDs to APFS...
