Anyone know out to get the full release 10.12.1? I get kernel panic trying to install 10.12 I have tried everything that has been suggested on how to cure kernel panic installation instructions.

I would like to try and install a clean copy of 10.12.1 How do I get it? Where? If not, then I guess I will be staying with El Cap 10.11.6 No kernel panic with this OS. Confused!

Apple is unusually late in releasing the disk image of the mac OS Sierra 10.12.1 Update. My guess is that it contains info on Macs scheduled to be announced tomorrow, October 27, 2016.

If Apple doesn't release soon the disk image of the mac OS Sierra 10.12.1 Update, I will have to install the packages downloaded from the Mac App Store.

I have a late 2011 Macbook Pro, 8 gb ram, 500 gb sata. Update to Sierra was successful, however, this new 10.12.1 update bricked my macbook. Unable to do anything. Formatted, performed clean sierra installm then tried updating again, same issue. Not sure.. some issue with this update and old macs..

anybody with similar experience?

And good for queries like "When is xxxxx (sports team) playing their next game" or scores, etc. I'm not a big sports junkie, but if you're just looking for a quick update on something, it's a faster and more direct way to get that info quickly vs. browser or even iOS app.

Back on topic.... 10.12.1 seems to have borked my Late 2014 Mac mini. After starting the update process, and waiting over an hour, it was just a black screen. I did a hard reboot, and the progress bar came up with "About 15 minutes remaining". Went to bed, and this morning it was just a black screen.

I guess I'll try a CMD+R on startup and reinstall the OS, unless anyone has different suggestions?

The 10.12.1 upgrade went fine on my Early 2016 MacBook. Haven't tried with Mac Pro, yet.

same thing hapenned to me. late 2011 macbook pro, 10.12.1 bricked my system. black screen after update. did a complete format and installed sierra again. update to 10.21.1 bricked it again. Not updating for the third time!

Thanks for the links to download individual packages. I am still waiting for Apple to publish a disk image of the mac OS Sierra 10.12.1 delta update as I have a limited internet connection and 3 mac systems to update. I like to download once and update many times.
Have you considered installing OS X Server on one of your Macs? It includes a software update caching service that might help in your situation, and for $20 not too painful on the pocketbook. Plus, running Server with all of the services disabled means it won't really tax that one CPU too hard either. Slap an external drive on there and you have yourself a (more robust) Time Capsule too. I mention it only because it is a feature many people overlook in Server that can be beneficial to layfolk who might not think Server has anything to offer them. (It is a feature that I wish Apple were nice enough to include on ALL Macs, considering that there are a lot of families with more than one Mac/iDevice on the family LAN. Windows 10 offers a similar feature that uses peer-to-peer exchange, which is even better; it allows ALL your machines to grab bits and pieces as they can and assembles them into a shared final installer. Apple seriously hasn't gotten up with the times when it comes to smart bandwidth management. They live in a Land of Plenty, I guess.)

No one has cited expense or third world location as an issue. Basic pc's were commodified by 1995 and
very common by 2000. Anyone then in their fifties then would have been exposed to pc's for 15 years
before entering their seventies.
It's all about specificity. If you had been as specific in your original post as you have been justifying what you posted, I doubt if any of us would have jumped on your post and responded. But your original post was a shotgun blast. Yes everything else you posted is good explanation, but your original post was way to general.

PRAM reset seems to have fixed this issue for me.

13, 15 or 17 inch? My 13 inch updated to 10.12.1 without an issue at all.

Here is the standalone installer for the delta which might be a bit easier to install than the separate packages: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1897?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

This only appeared today as well as the full installer.

They waited for the release of the new macs before releasing these.

As expected, once the new MacBook Pro models have been announced, Apple has published the long awaited disk image of the macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Update.

App store problem.
Is this a bug?
I see I have 5 updates in my installed applications but I have no way of downloading them!!!!

I put a thicker fan in the Akitio and the RX460 seems to be working well (4K@60Hz on MBP 2011).

My early 2011 Macbook Pro is having boot-up issues as well. Went to Apple Store for diagnosis and they found nothing wrong with my MBP. It will have this issue about once per week (of course it booted fine at Apple Store lol). The screen will go to black once woken up but the sleep light on the shell still blinks. When I get it to boot-up, and screen displays, the keyboard and mouse won't give any input. So I'll give up and try again a couple days later and it boots without hesitation.
