Not showing up on my 2018 MBA
Interesting, the update immediately showed up on M1 MacBook Air, but still isn't showing up on my 2 Intel machines (27" iMac and Mac mini). I'm sure it will show up in a little bit, it's just interesting to see how Apple is prioritizing AS based Macs (which makes sense).

Pressing CMD + R in the Software Update menu does wonders

Not sure whether it's my ISP or Apple is doing some kind of bandwidth throttling on its CDN, but the update still has over 3 hours left to complete on my M2 Air and another hour on my M2 iPad Pro. Annoying.

I'm not sure if it was the 14.2 update, a Chrome update, or an extension update...but I use the iCloud Password extension in Chrome and it would ALWAYS make me use Touch ID for each and every single password, and became beyond annoying to continue using. That was still happening this morning, but just stopped after I installed the 14.2 update.

Update: Just upgraded to 14.2 and there's no journal app. I was really looking forward to it, ever since macOS 14 and iOS 17 were released.
I read somewhere on MacRumors (can't find where anymore) that the Journal app will be available on iOS 17.2 and macOS 14.2. I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest. I guess I'll have to use LiquidText instead. I thought I could drop LiquidText and use Journal app instead…

Nope, no Journal.app for macOS and/or iPadOS this year :/
Not for iPad either? I don't want to say anything nor start an argument here, but what happened to Apple? For real, what happened to them? I read somewhere that Journal will be available for iPhone, iPadOS, macOS 14.2 and I was looking forward to it for months. I'm so disappointed right now…

I bet they'll add the app to iPadOS and macOS next year in new major OS releases and present that as an actual improvement. I'm not sure what happened to them, but they seem they really like to kind of proof-of-concept certain apps before they port it to all other platforms. Just look how long it took them to bring Health.app to iPadOS...

Cue the 14.2.1 update..
I'll be waiting for that one. Every time they introduce new features, they introduce new bugs, it seems. I'll wait until they fix what they broke, and hopefully, 14.2.1 (iOS 17.2.1, watchOS 10.2.1) will be better.

Yeah, apparently Apple broke things again.

macOS Sonoma 14.1 (came out on October 25th 2023) broke our app, xScope, and Adobe's Photoshop.

14.1.1 came out on November 7th, and fixed that bug, I am sure Photoshop has more weight than us small developers.

14.2 came out today broke our app, xScope, again, plus many other apps, including Zoom, we reported this to Apple at the beginning of beta, and during the entire beta testing period, the bug was never address. There is no work around to bypass this bug.

Apple Weather on my Mac running macOS 14.2.

It (still) sucks. My reports regard the bug(s)? Still untouched since macOS 13 beta.
Great work devs. 🤡

Does it freeze on M-series?
For me, it freezes only on Intel machines
From my testing, it's M1 Studio Ultra related. Since first very Sonoma release. Wipe and restore had no effect. Apple ignores numerous Feedback reports. Very annoying.

Hope that they've fixed the issue with external displays not waking properly and showing flashing lock screens

Does it fix the issue in Apple Music where the Recently Played section is missing half of the album artwork (especially on Essentials mixes)?
