I have an M1 Mac Studio that's screwed up by Sonoma. I think it's less of a plot to get people to upgrade from Intel, and more of a rushed and unready system release. So how much of these problems are centred around Intel Macs?
I would say it would make equal sense release on both platforms. However, I get the feeling that Apple is stretched thin.Really? Wouldn't it make more sense to release it as a Mac app?
Agreed, of course, but I find it extremely funny and suspicious that they don't even mention it in the release notes. It's almost as if they had to be shamed into adding the missing functionality back and are now pretending it was just a bug fix for an accident, or something… 😂 I mean, it stayed in that gimped fashion for one full update and at least one point update after that, it can't have been anything but a deliberate change.Props to Apple for actually reverting the changes to the Recently Added section in the Music app.
I hope they remake the Music App for macOS 15, honestly. It needs a deep revamp in my opinion.Apple Music (app) is just broken in 14.2 and freezes every time playback is tried![]()

They still haven't fixed the foulup regarding date format. Calendar, Numbers, and numerous other app negatively impacted.
Apple today released macOS Sonoma 14.2, the second major update to the macOS Sonoma operating system that initially came out in late September. macOS Sonoma 14.2 comes six weeks after the launch of macOS Sonoma 14.1.

The macOS Sonoma 14.2 update can be downloaded for free on all eligible Macs using the Software Update section of System Settings. Apple has also released macOS 13.6.3 and macOS 12.7.2 for those running older versions of macOS.
macOS Sonoma 14.2 introduces an Enhanced AutoFill feature for PDFs, which Apple announced earlier this year. It automatically identifies common fields like name and address, allowing them to be autofilled similar to a website.
In the Messages app, stickers can be added directly to chat bubbles with a tapback reply feature, and the catch-up arrow now jumps to the first unread message in a conversation. There are new Weather and Clock widgets, and a favorite songs playlist in Apple Music. Apple's full release notes for the update are below.
More information on the features available in macOS Sonoma can be found in our roundup.
