USB-C/HDMI bugs? Do tell? I just got a Mac studio and found that adding a second huge display has been sometimes difficult.

Not with the base M1/M2/M3. This contains a firmware update to enable the feature on the M3 MBPs to match what shipped on the M3 Airs.

Also in the enterprise release notes for Sonoma, these are fixed in 14.6:

​

• The login keychain is correctly created the first time a mobile user logs in.
• Enforcing a specific software update version no longer fails if it's not the most recent available update.
• The FileVault recovery key is no longer shown after updating when configured by MDM to not show the key.
• Users can successfully be added to the access list for Remote Management in System Settings.
• The allowAssistant restriction correctly prevents the Siri app from being opened.

This update adds support for using up to two external displays when the laptop lid is closed on 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 chip and also provides important bug fixes and security updates.

Remember when Apple respected their user base enough to make detailed change logs? I know of many hodgepodge collaborations on Github that do a better job documenting their work for their users.

Can you elaborate? Because I've had issues connecting to serial ports over USB lately.

I actually bought a copy of Serial to use them in user mode because it was so unreliable.

Takes two to tango. Could the problem be on the LG monitor side of the equation? Have you tried different cables?

I always have an error when trying to download this update saying that the update process failed and to check my internet connexion, however I have no issues at all with my internet. Anyone? 2020 iMac.

this update fixed an ongoing spam ware issue I had since 14.0 bata. good job.
