Installed fast on my 16-inch MBP M1 Max, it usually takes 15-20 min.

In any case, lots of small minor glitches after rebooting, like dock icons have reset to default (ie. all the Apple apps you see on a fresh install, all the stuff I don't use too), and sound output reset to internal speakers when I have headphones plugged in. As mentioned, this is minor stuff, but some configs were apparently wiped.

How to obtain this update package?
well before they were mostly ota only, except that sonoma 14.6 build 23G80 had an ipsw:

there were no full installers though but now the full installers are available

here is the sonoma one:

and the ventura 13.6.8 build 22G820 is at

and monterey 12.7.6 build 21H1320 is at

the new sequoia 15.1 beta 1 currently also only has an ipsw but hopefully there will be a full installer for that too soon.

Thanks!

FYI, the standalone Passwords app that appeared for some users in 14.6 RC was only a consequence of installing the Safari 18 beta, which was proposed alongside the Sonoma RC: in the first Safari 18 beta seed, there was this new standalone Passwords app, exactly as in Sequoia, but sadly it crashed in Sonoma; in a subsequent Safari 18 beta seed, it was removed: so, it’s not so clear if this was a mistake, or if the final Safari 18 release will offer the new Passwords app also for Sonoma and Ventura - who knows, we’ll see…

(BTW, the current Safari version for 14.6 is 17.6.)

btw, is there a download link for Monterey 12.7.6 update?
It is also an option in System Preference if you are still at Monterey.

Updated to 14.6 (on my '23 MS), today, and it went well.

It took about three re-boots (each of which consumed a great deal of time), but the last 'to-the-desktop' brought me to subjective parity.

I notice no obvious difference.

Everything seems the same.

^^^ Yes, probably (and there’s certainly no hidden Passwords app in /Applications, on Sonoma 14.6)...

Has anyone getting ghost notifications about software updates on macOS? Have received two of them already where it says there’s a software update and I go to the update screen on Sonoma and there’s nothing there.

In 14.6 they did fix a dock bug. If you have several folders in the dock and you rapidly cycle through them, the dock will "break" in some cases. This new update appears to have fixed that.
