Apple Releases macOS Tahoe 26.0.1 With M3 Ultra Bug Fix

26.0.1 turned Apple Music into a bug fest. Might play, then it plays, then it doesn't. Why am I still shaking my fist at this unknown QC team since 1994?

Sequoia here. Apple Music might play, or might not play, or might stop playing as well.

At least Apple mean stability!

Yep. Had no major showstoppers with a clean install on my M3 Pro MacBook Pro of 26.0. Just installed 26.0.1 and Apple Music won't play. Click play and the song flashes up for a millisecond to be replaced by "Autoplay", no album art and nothing else.

On Sequoia 15.7.1 and loving it. No Tahoe 26.2 at the earliest.

Still on Sonoma here, and it sounds like it's too risky to change for now. AI kept turning itself on in Sequoia so I reverted. Does the AI keep turning itself back on in Tahoe or is it too soon to tell?

A large .0.x bug fix (sorry...'update') for sure - I guess we'll be waiting awhile before Apple acknowledges the need for a .x "What were they thinking?" patch for the rest of it.

Lucky them, stay on Seqouia. Tahoes is full of bugs.

Bugs that will all get fixed with coming patches. I'm running Tahoe on an M4 Air and it's running flawlessly. Zero issues so far.

Different machines get different update sizes, it's normal. Apple packages them with the relevant stuff for your device.
