I noticed a bug that prevent Apple Watch to sync activity datas, weather information, maps.
When I'm listening music from iPhone via Airpods, it seems like Apple Watch is no longer syncing informations, even though it said it's still connected to the iPhone.

My iPhone 7+ is running latest iOS same as Apple Watch

With an iPhone or iPad, a user with a computer can plug the iOS device in and restore it from the comfort of their home if an iOS update fails and the device refuses to boot. With the watch, there is absolutely nothing the user can do if the watchOS update fails and the watch refuses to boot. The only option is to send the watch to Apple. They can't even do a restore on the watch in an Apple Store, from what I understand.

This is exactly it... The reason for the charger requirement and I suspect a good proportion of the reason the watch updates are so slow to install for their size is Apple are double, triple and quadruple checking that the installation isn't going to fail and brick the watch as there is no way to recover from that without sending the watch back to Apple.

If an iPhone or iPad update fails you can just plug it into a computer running iTunes and recover it yourself before restoring your backup.... you did follow Apples recommendation to backup before updating didn't you? ;)

Hopefully this fixes the annoying echo bug when doing phone calls over the watch.

Can we download some file like ipsw file for watch os to update watch series 2, like we do for iOS to update iPhone.

I updated, seen no difference yet. Also updated my other devices, not much difference there either, this is just the usual bug fix/security check/CPU effectiveness update.

Interesting. Thanks - I didn't realize that.

OMG... Just updated Watch and iPhone 6 Plus - watch was fully charged and has been worn for over 2 hours - just went to dock it and still at 100%! That is a first as it would be in the low to mid 90s before after 1 hour! Looking good.

So far I'm very impressed with better life improvements.
Took my watch off the charger at 7AM this morning. Here it is almost 4PM and I'm at 95%. :apple:

Edit:
Well it required the charger to install. Normally it doesn't even download if its not on the charger. So maybe it is a sign of things to come.

I'm pretty sure the update downloads to the iPhone anyway and installs from there.

That's fine, but let's see if the overall time between charges noticably improves. What you've described can be explained multiple ways - including a change in how the battery's remaining charge is calculated. ;)

I tend to run my watch battery down pretty far between charges, so I'll be curious to see if my experience changes. Unlike a lot of people, I sleep with it on (my old Garmin Vivosmart showed me the value in having an alarm on my wrist) - I charge it while I'm sitting at my desk during the day.

Okay, so I've been through perhaps 1.5 charge cycles on 3.2.3.

When the battery is recently charged, I'm seeing the same thing as others - the reported battery percentage seems to sit at a higher number for a longer time. But - at least initially - I don't see any evidence that the battery is lasting appreciably longer, overall, on 3.2.3. If there's a difference, i don't think it's very large.

Update went rather quickly for me compared to other minor updates. It did, annoyingly reboot 3 times before it came back to normal use and this was even after I was notified that the apple watch update installation was completed.

This was about 2 hours ago or so and thus far no complaints. Just finished an hour+ workout, using a combination of different apps that keep constant heart rate check, and the battery is showing 98%.

Cheers

I'd like to know how you're getting that kind of battery performance! With OS1, I had spectacular battery performance. I went two days without needing to charge. Every subsequent release after that, I have to charge every night to make it more than a few hours the next day.

Aside: Can anyone say if 3.2.3 fixed the problem with most weather apps complications not updating properly?

I use the watches basic functions, alerts, streaming music to my bluetooth headphones while I'm out running or working out. I don't take calls on it as I did when I first got it (just iphone to bluetooth now). My runs outdoors usually include GPS and I've gone on long runs and the battery has come down 10-15%. I also am pretty good about charging it throughout the day - if I"m at my desk for a long period of time I'll throw it on the charger to get it back up.

so far so good

cheers
