I don't understand why they won't tell us what is being updated or addressed in updates?

It's maddening.
They nuke your old devices to make you want to "upgrade." My rarely used Airpod pros 2 barely noise cancel now, people can't understand what I'm saying because I sound muffled, and the settings tell me that they're not sealed against my ears properly, when nothing at all has changed. They get used maybe once or twice every few months at my job when I'm rebuilding one of our machines, for a couple of hours max. I don't sweat in them and I don't drop them.

For the record I haven't noticed any decrease in performance with my AirPods Pro 2 because of these updates. The only issue is the "low battery" chime on the case going away.

Apple has no reason to degrade the AirPods Pro 2. They all have a finite lifespan because of the batteries. You'll eventually buy the Pro 3 regardless.

Come on. The "theory" about downgrading APP3s makes no sense. The model is only three weeks old. Even if they were ever doing this, why would they impair any of the quality when people are still in the very first wave of trying them out?

Modern changelog is so annoying

Steam keeps it real with steam and steam deck updates. Their changelog is top notch. They list new features and all of the bug fixes (even explaining circumstances for them to occur )

It's great that they don't fail us like most (if not all) modern OEMs . I love valve

I purchased the AirPods Pro 3 on launch day and immediately started hearing what sounded like whistling or high-pitched sound coming from both ears at random times with ANC on (also whether I was playing a song or not)... I replaced these in the Apple Store the next day and before I left the store I tried them again and the issue was repeated.

I read online that possibly I did not have the proper seal on my AirPods Pro but I have never had this issue with my AirPods Pro 2... I just returned from a NYC trip and I picked up another pair of AP3 because I heard there were firmware updates since launch day. Unfortunately, that random whistling/high-pitched sound is still there and I proceeded to sit in a Starbucks for an hour and tried the different ear tips but no matter what that sound happened.

I have now seen in Apple Community Discussions more people are complaining about the same issue I have experienced and hoping the next firmware update will address it... Very disappointed because when the AP3 worked they were better at ANC than the AP2 but that noise is a nonstarter for me.

I’ve had the APP since launch day and experienced this issue twice, today being the second time. It went away after about an hour once I put them back in the case, but it’s still pretty frustrating. Other than that, they’ve been excellent, a truly worthy upgrade from the APP2.

This is probably why Apple came out with security background updates so no one can question what they update!

Interesting…sounds like you barely use them and you’re still having issues? An outlier perhaps?…

What's all this I hear about Apple ruining ANC on the AirPods Pro 2?

Tales of the demise are greatly exaggerated…no more passing on false narratives!

I do not know if it was intentional or not but the fact is that for the last few months ANC on my AirPods Pro 2 was almost indistinguishable from the transparency mode…

My guess is all these ppl claiming Timmy is nerfing your AirPods all boils down to ppl just needing to do a goood thorough cleaning of their devices…go search on Apple support how best to clean then yourself. Peace
