Apple Releases New Firmware for AirTags

Has anyone recently received this update ?

i have two. one in my keys and one on my motorbike.
The one with my keys has been updated to the last one. i think this happened between yesterday and today.
the one on my motorbike still not updated.

1 of my 4 ones have been updated 🥳

Earlier I put all my 4 at one place, then I took away all of them and re-installed just 2 on find me.
Placed 1 at my night charging holder for iPhone and another at my iPad Mini 5 that I don’t use a lot in another room.
The one that was close to iPhone is now updated to 2.0.61 - so I can use it on my keys, which is most important - I have hope that the other 3 will be upgraded too 😁

As far as we know, the only thing that changed was the rev number. 😀

Well 5 of my 7 updated an hour ago. 🥳 Two are languishing. Two more days till November is up. 😏

All of mine are updated with 2.0.61 now.

So I hope at least they can be telepathically connected with me from now on, so the mess of non- connectedness ends.
Next upgrade I want them to be able to move to where I tell them to go. We need the 007 upgrade.

Does anyone know if the iphone has to be connected with WiFi when it's near the airtag?
I mean one of my airtags are in my motorcycle. As a result when I drive the phone is never on WiFi as I am on the road 🙂

I took my airtag with me at the office where I have WiFi and after half an hour almost the airtag was updated.
It's crazy that it wasnt updated all these days while I was driving....

My AirTag that I keep in my car updated while I was using CarPlay, so no, WiFi doesn’t need to be on. HTH.
