Exactly! Sonos gives me a Treble and a Bass slider, and that's all I need. It's not hard.Lower the bass? So why can’t we have an EQ? Or at least tell Siri to boost or lower the mids or the highs? Why just low bass?

I sent this feedback suggestion 14 times over the years, nicely first, slamming them for not being able to compete with a $50 Alexa speaker later.. LolThis will be a marvel if it actually works.
lol, I will know if they listened to me if they ever implement volume limitation (not headphone) on the iPad. Seems anyone with a child would plead for that…I sent this feedback suggestion 14 times over the years, nicely first, slamming them for not being able to compete with a $50 Alexa speaker later.. Lol
I’d like to think they implemented it because they were sick on me 😂😂
I have tried everything to get the REDUCE BASS slider to show up and i am unable to.Wow! I played ‘God Breathed’ off Donda and the difference between the reduce bass toggle being switched on/off is night and day. Can actually bump these 3 fellas in my 600 sq foot apartment now. Easy to test too, can toggle it on & off while playing music seamlessly. Auto-Siri volume seems to be working too. By far my favorite iOS 15 features. 👏👏
After testing it more I wanna say they raised the bass back up from when I think they reduced it overall in 14.6 or 7. Without the toggle on it’s even more bass-y imo. Hell yeah. Only thing that could make this better obviously is to add sliders.
No, it's working if you have HomePods as default speakers. Just not standalone.Soo even though I see dolby atmos on my apple tv played on apple music its not spatial audio?
Aww man
They wont need to as every HomePod will have succumbed to the fart of death well before then…I don’t know but there is only so much you can add to the software of a speaker I wonder what they will add in 5 more years
Does the lower bass level work when HomePods are set as default Apple TV speakers?
Hmm interesting, i'm not sure on that. Make sure your homekit hub (mine is my iPad) is updated to iOS 15 as well. Only thing I can think of. I used my iPad Pro updated to iOS 15 to use the new bass toggle.I have tried everything to get the REDUCE BASS slider to show up and i am unable to.
Both my Homepods were updated without any issue thru the Home app on my iPhone.
It shows that Home Pod Version 15 is installed - even says RECENTLY UPDATED
Tried restarting my iPhone, tried to access the settings from the Home app on my Macbook Pro, tried restarting the Homepods, even called Apple support - still no resolution.
Out of all the features this would help me the most as i have two Homepods in a tiny office
I have always had problems getting my Apple TV to properly sync as a source through my current traditional soundbar/sub-woofer setup each time I turn everything on. For those of you who are using a pair of Home Pod Minis as your TV speakers instead, how do you feel about the quality of the sound? (The sound through my current system is fine, but I'm thinking of dumping the soundbar because of the syncing problem.)
Alongside iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15, and watchOS 8, Apple today released new software that's designed for the HomePod and the HomePod mini.

The HomePod 15 software update introduces several new features that are designed to work in tandem with tvOS and iOS. HomePod software is installed automatically on the HomePod unless the feature is disabled, but the HomePod can also be manually updated in the Home app by following the instructions in our HomePod update how to.

When I first bought my HomePod shortly after launch it was able to control Siri volume separately from media volume. When I would say “Hey Siri raise/lower *the* volume” vs “Hey Siri raise/lower *your* volume” the music volume would decrease while Siri’s remained the same or vice versa. I preferred this because it didn’t give a booming response late at night after stopping music without lowering the volume."Siri automatically adjusts its speaking level based on the room environment and volume of the user" wasn't this something the OG was supposed to have but just never worked? Also, why would it take so long to add this?
Was talking to senior advisor with apple genius for my HomePod recently and they way they talked about it you'd think it's some crazy futuristic technology no one but apple has done before when amazon has had a lot of these things for years and you don't need your phone around all the time for it to work. (they blamed everything on needing to have the iPhone around all the time to work as "the brain")
Don’t laugh at my question, but what does OG stand for? I tried googling it and I find things like original gangster. Thanks."Siri automatically adjusts its speaking level based on the room environment and volume of the user" wasn't this something the OG was supposed to have but just never worked? Also, why would it take so long to add this?

It doesn't work...Nice, Siri being quieter in a quiet environment is welcome. Whispering “hey Siri, play stream sounds” at night shouldn’t have it belting out a response.
It doesn't work...
So I unpaired my HomePods and removed the previous profile for OS14 and then got the update^ it means original gangster like you found. Some people use it simply to mean “original”.
9PM PST here and still no luck getting the update. Home app shows both on 14.7 with no update available. Didn’t have any problem updating iPhone, iPad, watch, or Apple TV earlier today. The HomePod experience with stereo pair needs an improvement to show the version without needing to unpair them to see.
I'm starting to have this issue now after updating to HoS 15. Ugh I'm trying to like the HomePods but apple is not doing well. Will this fix my useless HomePod that lasts about 10 minutes before making a loud noise and rebooting that Apple refuses to see as a recall issue?
Media playback controls automatically appear on your iPhone’s Lock Screen when a HomePod mini playing music is nearby
