Isn't that Mission Control bug caused by a graphics card memory corruption bug that's around since Snow Leopard? The bug mostly shows up when switching from full screen to windowed or vise versa. I don't have Lion here so I can't test it myself, but the bug might be in the graphics card driver as not everybody seems to be affected by it. I'm using an early '08 2.4 GHz MBP here with nVidia 8600m GT.

i noticed the bug always shows up once i start to use the iTunes 10.5 beta and Safari both in fullscreenmode. one of them suddenly turns into a gray window (the same kind as the boot screen color) and it brings me back to the first desktop. very annoying

Let me just add this, I really love Lion, every bit of the OS has had something fiddled with, it's a joy to use and the experience is a lot better than Snow Leopard. Once you use Lion it's hard to go back to Snow Leopard. Just my opinion.

It fixed the annoying graphics glitches I had at startup. All is smooth now.

Plus the new UI login screen looks a lot better.

Launchpad fixed

Well, yes, Launchpad does seem to get reset with the update BUT it also seems to be fixed. I've rebooted multiple times and my custom Launchpad layout remains (it used to reset with every reboot) and I have yet to seem the nasty bug with disappearing Launchpad icons.

They replaced the "Send Mail" envelope icon with an actual button saying "Send" and another one saying "Cancel". I guess people got confused :).

But will they fix the complete cluster**** that is the sidebar?

MobileMe account + Gmail account = total mess

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

And it's 2011 and it's time to leave PowerPC development to Microsoft's Xbox team.
Dual boot to Snow Leopard is still an option.

At least two of the bugs I reported are fixed, 3 of them still not.

To be honest the one thing which is still far from being release candidate is Webkit2 at the moment.

Thanks for the positive words - sometimes it seems like all I hear is whining about Lion. I'm not a developer, but from what I've seen it looks great.

People say that it doesn't do anything big, but for goodness sake it rethinks the whole concept file saving and to the end user there's basically no differentiation between "open" and "closed" apps...New app downloading and app-launching UI ...new window management that merges Expose with Spaces, Dashboard, and Fullscreen (not maximized) apps...USEFUL not gimmicky multitouch gestures...Wireless file sharing...new Finder views...security improvements...iCloud integration...new Mail, iCal, & Address Book...and countless little UI tweaks and usability improvements.

I mean, aren't these the most common computing tasks that are being reconsidered and polished? For $30...I suppose I'll reserve final judgement til I get my hands on it myself, but so far I'm a happy (future) customer...

Some small refinements I'm noticing so far. Lion is shaping up nicely.

I'm really getting used to the new Mission Control + per application Exposé workflow as well. Good stuff.

looks very finished for me already, i guess the RC is not far away now. :)

@JanFredrikB: DP4 is a AppStore download. You can get a code in your dev account.

but if you're on dp4 it should appear right? I'm getting nothing in software update.
I'm on build 11A459e

any ideas?

Not for me - Mail updated it's mailboxes and stuff, but I still have the folded paper airplane button.
