Since no update appeared for me on the Software Update section, I tried to update using my Windows computer (Apple Devices app). Unfortunately, something went wrong and my iPhone was stuck mid-update. I'm trying to recover it right now, but the easier method (update instead of restore) has already failed once. Guess I'll have to hit the Restore button next time it fails. Fortunately, Apple Devices always does a full iPhone backup before starting the process.
I never used Apple Devices app since I am using Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 which does not have a Microsoft Store, and even if I used Windows 10 22H2 or Windows 11 24H2 [both with access to Microsoft Store], I will only use iTunes to update or restore my Apple devices.

I suspect that the issue was with the installation of 18.3 on the iPhone 11 series, so if you already have successfully installed it then there is no reason to go for the revised build.

As an iPhone 11 Pro owner, has anyone found iOS 18 better than 17? I’m hesitant to update after reading so many complaints.
I can chime in and say that iOS 18 runs very well on my iPhone 11 and I wouldn't hesitate installing it. I enjoy some of the changes made to customizing the layout and appearance of the home screen, which alone make the update worthwhile. The new customization features for control center are also a significant improvement. I also like other little improvements such as the Passwords app and things like the math recognition. If anything my battery life has improved with iOS 18 over 17.

Wooo, an ALL NEW version of iOS 18.3. This is the best, most powerful version of iOS 18.3 that Apple has ever released! Apple is releasing ALL NEW products at breakneck speed. Tim sure wasn’t kidding when he talked about how strong the pipeline is!

After using the update a few days, this has fixed my battery drain issues.

Normally I would charge to 100% and the morning it would be between 69-81%.

Now I charge to 100 and in the morning 100.

Also during the day it drains normally. Before the battery would drain like crazy without doing anything.

Actually a really good fix.

I had to update by plugging my phone into a MacBook Air.

both my mom's and my aunt's iphone 11 run fine (not extra fast, but not annoyingly sluggish to use).

but they are light users (photography, messaging, youtube, calls, etc).

my iphone 11 pro however, is still running 17.7.1. can you imagine old folks using newer softwares than *relatively* young folks lol. i'm a power-user and is way more demanding so i'm concerned about the 18.3+ performance. but it seems like i'm forced to update due to my new watch probably. oh well. hope it doesn't go south... will report back.

Now that iOS 18.3.1 is out, does it include the fixes that were included in the iOS 8.3 22D64 update aimed at some iPhone 11 models?
I'm one whose 22D63 version on an iPhone 11 Pro Max didn't recognize the 22D64 version using the Software Update mechanism in Settings.

Nobody on 22D63 got the 22D64 update through settings. The only way to get it was by doing a tethered update from a computer unless you were on 18.2.1 or earlier. It looks like the 22D64 version was only released to fix a bug in the installer and didn’t actually do anything different once installed.

Did you manage to update your iPhone 11 Pro yet? If yes, how's it going?

i updated to 18.3 a while back, maybe around a month ago.

what i notice, to my surprise, is that the battery performance was better than the latest iOS 17. to my feelings, was around 20% better. the speed was roughly the same. perhaps slightly slower but not noticible.

the icloud photo syncing was noticibly more efficient IMO, and it has been very stable.

yes. very surprising that the overall experience was better on the 18.3 than 17.x.x. i was expecting apple to brick the phone but surprisingly not.
