Is it just me or does the Mac App Store beach ball for you?

The answer is simple; the server is overloaded. The 'App Store' application is simply a glorified brewer front end and when it 'beach balls' it is due to the server being overloaded due to heaps of people downloading Lion. Hopefully in a few months it'll die down and things will get back to normal but until then you're just going to have to wait and patient.

is that only me who have strange behavior of close 'x' buttons on safari tabs after 10.7.1?
they just appearing and disappearing all the way I surfing and switching tabs.

I ran the update today, I made sure I rebooted before running the update. It crashed, heaps of text on the screen and a box saying I need to hold down the power button. Now it takes ages to boot every time and the iMac runs HOT, much hotter than under 10.7.0 I have a 2 month old iMac 27 3.4gHz Machine. Not too happy now, was running way better on 10.7.0 and even Snow Leopard was nicer. May need to reinstall everything, what a nightmare!

Not just you, I had this behaviour yesterday. To get the 'x' to show on a tab I had to switch to another tab and back again. Solved by restarting Safari.

Finder

Anyone having a problem with opening a Finder window from the dock? I click the Finder icon and nothing happens. I have to right click and select "Open New Finder Window."

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

mail quitting

anybody else out there noticing mail suddenly quitting with an alarming frequency since installing the upgrade?

luckily mail saves messages that take a few minutes or more to compose as drafts, but its pretty annoying when it quits.
