A better question is: what else does this update offer apart from adding minoritary languages? Just those two other fixes?
Here's the complete list...
The OS X Lion v10.7.3 Update includes Safari 5.1.3 and fixes that:

  • Add Catalan, Croatian, Greek, Hebrew, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, and Ukrainian language support
  • Address issues when using smart cards to log into OS X
  • Address compatibility issues with Microsoft Windows file sharing
  • Address an issue printing Microsoft Word documents that use markup
  • Address a graphics performance issue after sleep on some earlier iMacs that use ATI graphics
  • Resolve a Wi-Fi connection issue when waking from sleep
  • Address an issue that may prevent Safari from opening before joining a wireless network
  • Fix a potential issue authenticating to an SMB DFS share
  • Include RAW image compatibility for additional digital cameras

    Directory Services
  • Improve binding to read-only Active Directory Domain Controllers
  • Improve binding and login speed for Active Directory users in a domain whose name ends in ".local"
  • Improve reliability of Dynamic DNS (DDNS) updates by Active Directory clients
  • Allow login with an Active Directory username that contains a space
  • Improve compatibility with Active Directory schemas that have been extended with the "apple-user-homeDirectory" and "apple-user-homeurl" attributes
  • Fix home directory Dock item for Active Directory users with mobile accounts
  • Allow NIS users with MD5-hashed passwords to log in

None of these address the issues I'm having with my iMac, so guess I'll have to wait and hope 10.4 addresses them.
My issue is with large external USB drives. Push them too hard and I get the gray screen of death (kernel panic).
Even the guys at the Genius Bar were scratching their heads. Easily reproducible too.

730mb delta updates... that's kinda ridiculous.

Mine is 1.02 GB

So do they offer systemwide spell check and dictionaries for these languages?

Why do people ask this? It never made any sense to me, as there's nothing you can do about it. It's just another name/number for 10.7.3.

Because developers have had many builds to .X updates, and sometimes (rarely) the final release is a different build than the latest release developers currently have installed. So if it is a different build than 11D50 it may be of interest to some to know. It's not a dumb question :)

Where did I say it was dumb? I simply asked why. I can see why devs care, but not sure why non-devs do. :)

Thanks. I have ZERO issues with 10.7.2 here, so there is little to gain from 10.7.3 as I can see...updating it anyway.

ouu, even SL get's security update, how sweet from you Apple, how about move Expose to Lion? :)

Apple sends betas to developers, if the public release build number is the same as the last beta then you don't have to download and install a 1GB file again.

I agree with you on that because i'm a developer and i'd like to know what build number it is

Because I am on 11d50 and am curious if it's the same build. If not, I'll of course upgrade. If so, then I'm set.

Interesting :), I had ZERO days when Lion didnt freeze, crash, or whatever that annoys me and wont allow me to do my job...

People ask this question because Beta (or pre-release) builds of OS X updates all have the same version number (but a different/ unique build number). Apple have been releasing pre-releases of 10.7.3 and they all have the 10.7.3 version but a different build number for each release.

The latest Beta version of OS X is 10.7.3, with build number 11D50.

The latest stable general public release is 10.7.3 (people want to know the build number so that can decide whether they need to download the huge file and upgrade or are they already running the latest build anyway).

Most people would not care about build numbers (version numbers are enough to identify general releases).... hope the above makes sense.
