okay then, please everyone download the update and let us know if theres any
problem with it :p

I usually update within 1 week since release.

Oh holy crap, the problem seems even worse in this update!. When using the clone stamp tool in Photoshop Cs6 , when i press alt/option to select an area to clone from the cursor goes away, totally.

Never mind, the first image was a problem, closed and opened PS again, no problem.. Will test more.

Praise the Lord! I've been reporting the mail bug for months now!

What mail bug are you referring to? The one where your Mail loses track of your sent mail after you've spent a long time composing a message (and the only way you know that the message was sent was to contact a person to whom it was sent and ask them the stupid question, "hey, did I just send you an email?")?

Please tell me it is this one.

When is Apple going to get around to addressing the long shutdown? Would be nice if this update took care of it.

Been waiting for that for ages.
I hope, this problem will be gone in Mavericks.
It surely hasn't been solved with this update.

For me.

Well I did something dumb...

I forgot to check for a new nvidia driver before installing the update. Oops. (I remembered after it started installing.)

I'm using the Apple nVidia driver now so hopefully that works fine until nvidia makes one.

----------

Why does it only happen in Photoshop then? Ridiculous to blame Apple for this.

Agreed.

Its just like how Wacom was blaming everyone but themselves for their memory leak in their Wacom drivers that lasted TWO solid years!

I don't remember having this problem when I was running Lion. From what I have read in the Mavericks forum, the long shutdown is still present.

Lion has Snow Leopard-like fast shutdowns for me too. Mavericks has generally been better than Mountain Lion but nowhere near as fast to shut down as Lion unfortunately.
