Tell me about it. I've been contemplating uninstalling Flash just to get rid of that damn icon in system preferences.
I've found a way to change the icon if it really bothers you. (I changed mine).

Navigate to Macintosh HD > Library > PreferencePanes > Flash Player.prefPane > Contents > Resources > FlashPlayerPreferences.png

Just replace this PNG with a similarly sized one, themed for 21st Century. I used this one…

Hey, thanks for uploading these but there are another two you missed out!
The first five are all new to Yosemite:

Can you please upload the rest, I would be very grateful (I really want the fifth one!) :D

Oh I thought there were only three new ones. Sorry about that, but unfortunately, it'll have to wait until I get home from work. I'll upload if no one else has. ;)

If Jony Ive had his way there would be no user elements at all because to have something on the screen is ugly to people like him.

Seems overstated, but my point was that MR often confuses newness with modernism. Just because a design is updated or refreshed doesn't make it more modern, just updated or refreshed. These are very different concepts. All of this is completely apart from whether the redesign is liked or disliked, of course.

The very first thing I noticed is how off centered the date looks. I've been using my computer all day today and haven't noticed, maybe I'm just on alert after updating. Anyone on DP5 or PB looks this strange?

Looks like the rendering engine that slaps the current date on the blank icon is off. The generic icon with the "Jul 17" looks centered.

I have a lot of trouble using the new flat UI. Having a bunch of overlapping windows open just looks like a sea of indistinct gray blobs. Turning off the translucency helps some, but I find myself constantly pausing to try to figure out just what I'm looking at.

Quick question. Is it safe to install DP6 Delta over the Public Beta? Or would I need to install all the DP's 1-5 first?

Now I know why OS X upgrades became free. Nothing interesting anymore worth paying for.

Well if you're not interested in a free update (handoff, iphone calls from desktop etc) then it's your prerogative not to install it. Not like you can complain about a free update right?

Oh wait...

I think that system-wide scriptability with JavaScript and system-wide plugins beg to differ ;) Not to mention the bridging with iOS
