The screenshots posted by early downloaders suggests the font has changed for the better (IMO). I am still downloading... I like what I see so far!

Yes, the font seems sharper on my iMac. When opening the recycle bin the font color was white, now it is grey. It all looks really nice now.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems the Wi-Fi indicator has bolder lines.

Software Update: The "Software Update" option has been removed from the main Apple menu, with App Store now displaying available software updates.

then i hope update refresh properly now currently you have to go to software update for them to refresh properly

They updated the icon for Dashboard? Let's level. Is there any reason why Dashboard should still exist? Seriously. Everything I use it for is getting moved to the Today view.

people make their own snippets that i'm sure they wouldn't want taken from them.

It does. And again! It is much better and more desktop-y. I like DP7 already! (the attached is from DP6)

Somehow, it seems to me that fonts should now look beautiful on non-retina screens too.

Thank you! Is it safe to say I can overwrite my current OS or should I create another partition for this PB.

Whatever your little heart desires. If you dont care about possible data loss, then overwrite.

I would recommend a new partition.

Whatever you do, do a backup first.

If you only have 1 mac it would be better to run it on a separate partition.

Otherwise, yes you can upgrade from a previous os to yosemite. But apple advise not to run it on your main system because you may lose data.

Can anyone see if they have added swipe gestures in Finder, especially 2 finger swipe left and right for navigating forward and backward, just like in every browser.

I think one more developer preview and then about a month or so wait until the public release.

Yuk!

Been installing and testing DP for months and not had any real issues but this latest release is looking horrible with the new spotlight/dakmode.

Seems like change for change sake and the reverse colours just look naff - sorry Apple :(

In Dark Mode, the selected menu bar/action turns a white/gray instead of blue in the previous DPs.

EDIT: They added a Force Quit App option to the Apple menu as well. If in Safari, it becomes Force Quit Safari. In Finder, Force Quit Finder.

You can do this with BetterTouchTool.

In "Finder", configure Trackpad Gesture for "Two Finger Swipe Left" and Assigned Action/Shortcut to "3F Swipe Left (Page Back)" and repeat the same for "Two Finger Swipe Right".

Make sure any 3F gestures in Trackpad System Preferences are disabled as it will interfere. I change them to 4 finger, which works perfectly.

You don't have to have darkmode on..it's optional..
