I'm enjoying my "cheap Knockoff" black alpine loop from Aliexpress and the quality is amazing.

Really? I’ve heard bad stuff about the stuff from Amazon, do you have any pics of it? How is it holding up? You trust it not to detach from the watch and send the watch to the floor? Do you have a link to who exactly you got it from there?

I wish there were color parity between the solo loops and the sport bands…I prefer bands to the loops. Loops are a fixed size and stretch out over time.

All this “innovation” is killing me! I can see why there isn’t anything in the pipeline. Apple spending all its design time picking colors instead. Gotta love it. Way to go Tim. Admittedly, the gross margins on watch bands and phone cases is probably astronomical.

No new Ultra colors but it doesn't matter anyway because you can get any color you want for about three bucks on Amazon and they're indistinguishable from the $99 version from Apple. 🤣

I don’t mind the odd cheap band from Amazon / AliExpress now and then. But you can 100% tell the difference in quality and in a lot of cases the style differences. I’d not be too comfortable wearing a fake band on my £850 watch outside, risking it breaking and my watch being dropped.

The “fake” ultra bands might look good in the pictures they use to sell them but in hand, they are nowhere near as nice. The ocean bands do not feel the same and the clip is not adjustable like the real one is. The trail bands, those are very close to matching the real ones but again holding them in hand, they do not feel as nice and the colour tab on the end has very poor stitching and is not on the same level. That’s in my experience anyway and I’m glad it only cost me less than £10 to try all the different ones.

For the non-Ultra ones, the sport loop ones look identical but they absolutely do not feel the same, they are thinner and the quality is nothing like the real deal.

The “best” ones I’ve come across were the nylon loop straps. They feel very similar to the real deal ones and I notice only a few small quality differences to the real ones. They are a bit wider than the real ones I have and have a slight difference in feel, nothing as mental as the sport loop ones. I think with Apple using the better fluoroelastomer silicon where most fakes seem to be using the cheapest version of silicone - which of course is to be expected. For the nylon loops, I picked up all the Olympic ones I wanted from AliExpress and I’m not mad at the quality at all. Got them for £2 each and for that price I think the quality is significant.

I'm disappointed as well, history indicates no new bands til new watch :(

While some of the new colours look great, this release is pretty far from what I expected. Not a lot of flashy summer colours and not a single Ultra band or even Sport loops or leather links as usual. And yes history usually say this is the last time until September with new bands 😵‍💫

I really like Sprout, but there is no way I’m going to pay that much for a band that is going to get stretched out.As for the sport bands, I already have fog blue and kumquat which look exactly like the new ones.
Which changes name on this side of the Atlantic!

Perhaps they don't want people to think of Brussels Sprouts?

Apple, where is the love for the Ultra? Give us some new color options and band choices please.
I suspect they’d tell you the Ultra is neither designed nor intended for fashion.

Coming from the other side, I’d consider a trail loop for my space gray S5, but not with bright hardware - I suppose if they come out with a black/gray Ultra, there might be some such bands.

I used to wear Nike sport band prior to Ultra and that line hasn't had an update in a looong time ...

An ironic condemnation, considering Watch bands are what help to sell Apple Watches (and retain Apple Watch users). This is perhaps another example of Apple’s design-led product strategy that their detractors simply “don’t get”.

No new Apple Watch Ultra Ocean Band. So disappointed! Come, on! Apple could have released one color. 😌

Apple needs to offer a size between the standard Ocean band and the way-to-long-and-bulky option; some of us with larger wrists don't like the option of using the very last hole nor having the super-long band folded back (per Apple instructions) and being extra bulky...

Can we have the ultra in black ?

Asking for my pal Bruce Wayne

Pretty sure Mr. Wayne can afford something from ColorWare...

I want to see a Space Black Apple Watch Ultra with matching titanium Apple Link bracelet...
