i cant believe half the post so far are complaints...

but thank god its here so we can stop hearing about it, at least for now..

Now I guess all of the those who (im)patiently waited can now get the latest and greatest..... Or maybe they should wait until the next update.

So. They are finally here. Not that Im buying one. I will wait for a case redesign or something like that. Nice to know they have come!

Wait, Apple Remote as an option? It doesn't come as a standard?
Hope this is not true.

What has been updated? They should publish a delta chart.

<10% processor speed bump or is a new chipset in place too?

Same graphics or new?

They did add the multi-touch so thats new.

I got another year or so before I need to upgrade my first gen intel MBP, but is this what people have been waiting for or is it a very small incremental improvement? just curious.

twice the L2 cache on the 2.5 Ghz, FWIW. Still, $500 seems a lot for that, 100 mhz, 256 vram, and some HD space. 2.4 is definitely the sweet spot now.

17s come with special optical drive...

Its "douple-layer"...

Must be new technology....

JK guys, but thats what it says.

Holly smokes, finally updated. But my god they are charging for the remote on a $ 2000 machine!?!?!?!?!?!

I want one! Multi-touch woo!

I think Apple are in the process of updating the MacBook and MacBook Pro homepages because some of the specs haven't been changed yet.

Looks like MacBook Pro still has the old keyboard layout too. No media keys like the MacBook + Air.
