Does it let you force color management for wide gamut displays yet? Will I be stuck with Firefox until the end of time?

I love this Safari 5.0.4, it really is SNAPPIER...:D Can't stand Firefox as a primary browser; though it is fine for a secondary browser. Let's see, with FF the last update was YESTERDAY, so that means the next update is next MONDAY!!!

Too bad it still fell to Pwn2own. Was even the first to be hacked followed by IE whilst Chrome is still standing strong.

How does hacked first matter. The do not hack the browsers at the same time. Safari was the first to get tested so it was the first to fall. ZDNet articles state that once each was up to the plate: Safari took 5 seconds & IE fell immediately (both upon connecting to malicious URLs). Basically, both fell quickly. Chrome survived today.

I agree with everyone here that it feels faster, especially in using hotmail, and I didn't get any beach balls either, which is a first for me on hotmail. The part I don't get is, there's nothing in Apple's notes about speed improvements, so how is this possible?

I also clear the cache, the browsing history and empty the cookies quite often, and re-start every time the beach balls get to me on hotmail, which gives me a good feeling for how long that lasts until it starts up again. Should've started by now and it hasn't - still quick and still no beach balls.

It does feel more responsive and I can agree it's snappier.

But, I love my Chrome.

Oddly enough, I installed this on my SL server along with a bunch of other updates, and thereafter I got repeated hangs from it. Not sure if this is a problem with 5.0.4 and server or what, but it's left me underwhelmed.

On my XP system at work, the areas of the UI which were grey are now a fairly unpleasant pink. Good job it's only a secondary browser for test purposes.

Still didn't fix the bug where if I quit Safari in the middle of a download, reopen Safari, the download vanishes. Even double clicking the .download file to restart it, it says it's downloading, but doesn't appear in the download window. See the screenshot.

I answered my own question last night.

It does not fix it.

Agreed - this IS a problem. Time to check out Chrome! I kind of understand the whole flash player situation, but, no YouTube videos!? Even with the HTML5 fix, it still only works half of the time.
