I say release it on October 4 and give Siri and long time Apple users, the series they deserve on her birthday!

There have been reports about partially unresponsive touchscreens since iOS 18 and I can confirm that it happens sometimes here on my 15 pro!
Also on the regular 15, but mostly on the alarm screen. So if my alarm goes off in the morning, it's very hard to get it to turn off, because the screen doesn't respond well.

@chfilm You can laugh all you want, but I am dead serious. The screen freezes for a couple of seconds before I'm able to turn the alarm off. Wasn't much of an issue on iOS 17, but it is now.

That must be tough, especially in the early morning 🤓

It is. I am not a morning person, so I hate not being able to turn off the alarm quickly. And I'm also recovering from long covid, so in addition to not being a morning person, I also have mornings where I wake up and my symptoms have flared up again. So if I reach for my phone to turn the alarm off, it's already a struggle on those mornings.

Tell Siri to turn it off. It’s almost immediate.

I could try that, thanks! 🙂
As a young lady in her 70s, I always think of telling Siri to do stuff for me first. She is a big help that’s why I am so anxious to see what Apple Intelligence is going to do for us. And I am happy to say that Apple fixed The issue where Siri was no longer listening for five seconds or so after your first request. She listens longer now and then disappears immediatelywhen you thank her , like she was doing before the 18.0 update. I have asthma and sometimes get too out of breath to get up and turn lights off or on, so Siri helps a lot.

homepod 1 bricked by recent update.

apple tv took hours to reinstate.

this mess is epic.

another call to first level amateurs that steal my time, while they get paid.
