I too had the PB1 on my 15Pro Max, it was buggy and a bit slow, PB2 is feeling much better so far.See it's comments like this that make me really want to install it on my 16PM daily driver.
PB1 was genuinely UNUSABLE on my 16 Pro Max, so... not all of them (at least not for everyone/every device). Fingers crossed for PB2, but I've decided to just wait it out for the final version.PB’s have been stable for a long time. I always run them on primary. Small hiccups, but nothing major for me.
same. no issues.Installing on my M2 iPad Air, been quite happy with PB1 overall
Yep. I have been since PB1. A few brief lags, runs a bit warm.Do we think this public beta is stable enough to run on a daily iphone 15 pro max?
Same here. Also seeing same issue on 3rd party apps (LivePhish, Sirius, PlexAmp, etc.). Pretty bad bug. Hopefully next update brings a fix. Would be an awful bug for full release.Same here, no more CarPlay on my Honda CRV. Just a blank screen with some blurry color. In my case it's the Phone app, the Messages App and Music. Maps works.
I didn’t have any significant issues, so seemed fine to me. All minor annoyances.PB1 was genuinely UNUSABLE on my 16 Pro Max, so... not all of them (at least not for everyone/every device). Fingers crossed for PB2, but I've decided to just wait it out for the final version.
I know I was pretty critical of Liquid Glass without having tried it, but now that I have the public beta running on my phone I can safely say I was right all along. Boy, this stuff is rough.
So many random dropshadows all over the home screen and lock screen in a desperate attempt to make things legible. Inconsistencies all over the place, legibility problems here and there (although a lot of these have been mostly fixed, even if they’re still pretty ugly).
Also, what’s up the with keyboard typeface? It’s somehow narrower but bolder than the previous one, it almost looks like someone accidentally picked the wrong one from a list.
I’m not one to call for firings, but whoever signed off on Liquid Glass might need to be shuffled out of the design leadership team.
Here are just some of the ones I spotted this afternoon/evening since installing. Ironically, some of these are actually more legible in the screenshots than on the actual device.I think it is great and I have very few problems with how it is today, I think they could make some things more transparent though since they seem to have walked back a bit too much.
No issues here but as with any beta experience can vary.CarPlay seems to be a real mess. Several apps (Messages, Settings, Phone, Audible) just show a blank screen.
Bet the people inline behind you were impressedI spoke too soon when I said no issues. I cannot get the wallet app to open. I’ve rebooted, still nothing. Just a black screen. And double-clicking the power button doesn't bring up my card for tap to pay. I’ve left feedback. 16PM.
Update: I guess I wasn’t waiting long enough. It finally comes up after about 2 min.
No, I wasn't in line. Just checking the app in bed late at night. May not use it at stores until it's fixed. I just wonder why it's my phone and not a widely reported issue.Bet the people inline behind you were impressed![]()
I see the same with my M2 iPad Air, I don't really need to connect the iPad to the Mac, I just use a USB-C cable connected to my Studio Display to charge it, which is more convenient for me vs using a plug in the wall.I updated my iPad mini from iPadOS 18.6 to 26 Public Beta 2. When I connect it to my Mac running macOS 15.6, I get a modal saying "A software update is required to connect". When I click the "Install" button, it tries to download it for maybe half a minute, then it says "Can't install the software because it is not currently available from the Software Update server."
My Mac seems to be able to see the iPad connected to it anyway, so I don't know what I'm missing by not having this update. Maybe the update will be available soon, or maybe not until release.
