Odd - Updated yesterday and for the most part everything is working well.

I did notice that the app icons in the app store updates section sometimes are just blank grey squares until you scroll them down and then back up. I went to report this to Apple and.....

...the feedback app is gone. Not sure how they want to communicate with them.

Not sure why the 6 can't have the always-on Siri feature. More examples of Apple restricting simple software features to sell devices. I love Apple to pieces but something about the 6s just doesn't sit right with me. It barely seems like an upgrade, compared to the 5s which introduced TouchID at least.

Then, maybe it's just because I've decided I'm not buying one so I'm being a bitter jealous.

I agree it sucks but hardware implementation will always be superior to a software implementation. They have their reasons, although we might not all agree with it.

I actually think the 3D Touch is on par if not more of an upgrade than Touch ID. Especially since apple is giving developers access to it right away.

That sentiment seems incredibly unfair. How do you know it's only a "simple software feature"? Perhaps it's also related to the more powerful hardware in the 6s. Isn't it possible that there are valid reasons other than your apple-bashing sentiment that apple does things purely out of greed? Man, some of you people are simply unbelievable. You expect Apple to have to explain everything little thing that you don't like to you as if you are some god-like creature that will speak words of praise or condemnation that will determine apple's future.

I'm quite sure that if an Apple person reads your very unfair words, you will simple be cast off as an irrelevant Apple hater who has NO credibility. Those of you who bash for the sake of bashing only hurt your own credibility in the long run and gain access to my ignore list.

I am on the public beta 2 of 9.1 and the feedback app is still there. But, I also wanted to say that I reported this issue myself, along with the automatic updates not working regularly.

Why can't the current 6 do Hey Siri with this update without power? Does it really need the A9? I mean, c'mon!

+1

And the worst part Apple did explain why it is on the 6S.

They have the M9 as part of the A9 now, which will greatly help to keep battery drain to the minimum. Iphone 6, has the M9 as a seperate processor. They chose to go the more efficient hardware way, as opposed to software.

Has anyone lost the Siri "bleep bleep" noise? I only hear it when my phone is plugged in and realize now how much I loved hearing that.

I think this went away with iOS 9.0 and contrary to your opinion I am thrilled! I got so sick of that sound. Almost as sick as I am of the default text message tone and default ringtone that the entire world seems to love.

The coprocessor is built on chip with the 6S which allows it to be always on. The iPhone 6 has a separate processor and an always on siri would kill the battery. This is a hardware limitation.

How's the weather from up there on your high horse?

I am very much a fan of Apple and everything they do, much to the frustration of some of my friends who can't understand my blind loyalty. My comment was specifically aimed at the very specific new Siri feature and I don't believe it is entirely false to suggest that Apple reserve some software features for newer devices, regardless of whether the hardware on the older devices can support those new features.

You speak of your ignore list like it's something I'm afraid of or which affects me in any way. Do whatever makes you feel better about yourself. You sound like a very angry little man, I bet you're just great in real life.

Always on Siri isn't a simple software feature, it actually needs particular hardware to work appropriately.

While Always-On Siri is hardware-dependent as Apple already said, Live Photos would have been a great thing to add to the iPhone 6 in this version of iOS. It's a shame they only implemented it for the iPhone 6s, probably as a marketing strategy to make them more attractive to upgraders. =(

The feedback app is only available in Public betas. If you updated yesterday you got the developer beta which does not have the feedback app.

Could be similarly hardware related since the phone records 1.5 seconds before you even tap to take a picture, which means it has to be recording almost all the time (at least when the camera app is active).

Ever since updating my screen has gone black, home button and lock button are unresponsive, IDEK what's going on

Makes sense. I thought it was separate on both

I'm on PB 9.1 iPhone 6+. But I'm unable to update.
My iPad Air 2 was fine. Any advice

Restored to a iPhone 6S - I'm finding that when I go into the Camera app, sometimes it'll be a black screen and the auto focus box will repeatedly flash. If I swipe to move to the Video function, the camera sensor wakes up and I can take a video or slide back to the Photo function and take a video.

It doesn't happen every time though.

Did you have to put the beta on the 6S? Or did it allow you to restore a backup from 9.1 to 9.0.1?

And again you can only send max. 5 photos from fotos app to mail app... With 6 marked photos the sharing option to Mail disappears, as in iOS 8. Damn!
