Still won't download. I went to the Apple Beta page and it only seems to want to allow be PB1. It offered me a new redemption code, so I wasn't sure if that would download PB2. Any ideas?

Boot sound is gone after PB2. Could be a bug on my end, can anyone confirm? Would be pretty sad if it's the real deal. :|

Was using Yosemite on my Mac Mini, but went back since I didn't have access to iCloud and iPhoto. Even on an old IDE external drive, it works well. Can't wait to get the final release on my Fusion drive.

Stupid question, but are you sure your sound wasn't muted before the restart?

If you're referring to how iTunes 11 changed search from narrowing down your list (the old search) to offering a popup list of items (the new search), you can still revert back to the old search method.

Click the magnifying glass and then deselect "Search Entire Library". That causes it to revert back to the way search had been done for many years. At least it does for iTunes 11 on Windows.

I'm aware of that trick. And I use it. But I still say the change was not a good one and it shouldn't have been done

Would anyone say roughly whether or not this is any more or less stable than DP6?

It's probably almost identical, they were released just a couple days apart. If you already have DP6 installed I wouldn't bother trying to mess with the PB releases.

Update downloaded. However, it doesn't appear to be actually installing the update. My MacBook Pro rebooted and installed the update, but it still says there's an update available in the App Store indicating that the update wasn't actually installed. Possibly a bug?

EDIT: got it to install. Had to reboot several times, though.

What does your "About this mac" say?

The new get info window in iTunes maybe helpful for people that don't really use it but those that used it a lot, it has become unusable. So who will this actually benefit?!?

iBank still crashes

I was hoping that this would fix my iBank which crashes every time I try to add a transaction. But sadly no. I will let IGG know about it. This and MakeMKV are the only reason I reboot and use Mavericks.

No, it wasn't. It's definitely gone. At least for me. Did a clean install of PB2 though, not an update.

EDIT: Nevermind. It's back somehow.

The volume thing on the screen looks different now when you press the volume buttons on the keyboard. And it doesn't make noise when you press the button.

Is there a possibility to Download PB2 from a machine that is Running Mavericks? Right now i dont have Internet in the flat with my iMac. This imac is Running Yosemite PB1. Can I download a .dmg anywhere? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

My expectation for iTunes has gotten so low that I am happy that Apple is at least trying to make it better.

If I was Eddie Cue, I would probably rename iTunes to Music, and make it only about music (with perhaps Beats Music thrown in) just as iBooks is only about books. Similarly, I would rename QuickTime Player as Videos and make it all about movies and TV shows.

For syncing non cloud-based media contents to iOS devices, I would resurrect iSync.

That's actually a good logical idea. Too bad they don't follow logic.
