One of the joys of still being tied to Python 2.7I can't seem to get any V3 of python to work or reinstall. Which isn't nice.

Which has been reported a dozen of times, and a temporary fix has even been given... The search functionality actually works...cannot connect to smb in beta 6
Not sure if this is posted here but temp fix for this is Terminal Command "sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/smbfs.kext" but you have to do it for each restart.Do not update if you rely on SMB shares!!!
Startup delay on T2 still there.
bothMicrosoft Tennet or Azure Admin? Funny I have similar tabs open right now in Safari (Catalina) on my MBP. How did you upload a video directly to the thread, is that now possible?
Is anybody using ZOOM (both for just joining, as well as hosting video meetings) with this beta?
Didn't work for me yet with the last one; was super laggy and camera didn't work at all..
No joy here after those commands. SMB shares still not accessible.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make this happen in a sort of script when you restart macOS?The alternate command suggested elsewhere:
sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/smbfs.kext
did indeed work to restore access to my SMB shares. thanks!

I was thinking something a lot more basic, like a script using the Apple Script Editor. I am using that to mount my NAS shares and it works great when created as an application, run in the User Login Items.
The Terminal command woul dhave to be changed though, as the "sudo" requires the password to continue;
sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/smbfs.kext
1) Can that be changed to run without using "sudo", and if not, can I add the password to the command?
2) What kind of script should we use?
That's because the installer messed with your firmware. This was evident even with the broken beta 5 install on 2020 iMacs. Gave it a startup chime and broke Hey Siri even with Catalina installed.I still have a ~20sec startup delay now even after completely wiping my drive and doing a fresh install of Catalina.
I don't have a 2020; (I have a 2015 MBP 15) I could only install over Catalina. You might have success doing that...I've tried installing Big Sur on my external drive.
It started the install process (after I downloaded it...). But I get a security notice saying I can't install this on an external drive?

Works for me. Can't disable HDR though, but at least it works in Safari as opposed to the blown out mess in Chrome. Some YouTube HDR content does not play in Safari on this beta. (Which was playable on beta 4) And we can't disable HDR option in Safari.
For example:
Does anyone else have the same issue?
Sadly no, you just have to hope Apple fixes it in a future beta installer.Yea I thought so.
Do you know of a way to fix it?
No problemo.
I’ve just left the house with it stuck on the Apple logo to see if it sorts itself out in an hour of doing nothing. Hopefully it doesn’t catch fire!
Next step will be a clean install of Catalina, then upgrade to Big Sur, then migrate from my old machine. Will report back.
Yea I thought so.
