So these figures quoted are just in case you drunk too much redbull and floated up to 10,000 feet?

I'm guessing that processor speed was set to highest and all power saving features were turned off on the demo models...that said, 3 hours ain't all that promising. Wonder if they'll make improvements before it ships in February.

i would have been far more bothered by only catering to the consumer level...they have that pretty well covered at the moment.

I am no guinea pig.

Thank you. I don't think they'll use BIOS. Then again, they won't need it. People don't seem to believe around here just how versitile XP is at booting hardware. x86 people know all about it. It will boot Windows, I am sure of it.SiliconAddict said:Umm maybe because some of us have apps that DO NOT exist in OS X. Three off the top of my head that I use almost daily. Microsoft MapPoint, Microsoft Access, and IE for our company's time tracking system. And watch. $50 to a charity says that the week the first MacBooks start showing up Windows will be running on it. There is NO reason why Windows shouldn't run perfectly fine on it. ATI Drivers? Of course. Bet money the WIFI they are using is Intel's radio so that isn't a problem. If its an Intel Chipset then that too shouldn't be a problem. Booting? Doubt that is going to be much of a problem either but of course we know little on how the MacBooks BIOS are setup. If, again, its using Intel BIOS its going to be piece o cake.
